We’re seeking someone to join our team as an Associate in Operations Risk and Regulatory Control team to deliver Trade and Transaction Reporting requirements. The successful candidate will join the TTRO (Trade Transactions Reporting Operations) Run The Bank (RTB) team for North America jurisdictions for OTC derivatives (CFTC, SEC, CSA), working with global colleagues across Business Units, Legal and Compliance, Operations and Technology to deliver Trade and Transaction Reporting requirements.

In the Operations division, we partner with business units across the Firm to support financial transactions, devise and implement effective controls and develop client relationships. This is an Associate level position within the Core Services, which is responsible for performing and managing product-agnostic and centralized operational services across several businesses and products.

What you'll do in the role

  • Daily monitoring & investigation of breaks and exceptions across various internal controls.
  • Resolving reporting issues via manual remediation of reported attributes.
  • Work with cross division stakeholders (TTRO, Trade Support, Technology & Business Unit) to investigate the potential reporting issues and their root cause.
  • Raising JIRAs for issues identified & getting them prioritized for delivery with CTB and Tech partners.
  • Review the existing reporting processes and control framework to identify enhancements and opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Identify and deliver necessary reporting process change to maintain compliance with an evolving regulatory reporting and business change environment.
  • Participating in ISDA and other Industry forums to understand and track the discussions and do follow ups with internal stakeholder as needed.
  • Performing analysis of any new reporting requirements (including new fields and change in reporting specifications), working with Legal and Compliance to interpret the ask, perform gap analysis and work with technology teams to quantify the implementation requirements
  • Execute complex processes and assist a Team Manager in coordinating processes, risks and/or projects in a Team Lead capacity.
  • Recognize risk in day-to-day processes to draw out the key issues and leverage detailed knowledge to propose changes in process train others, allocate tasks and support with first line escalation where required.
  • Share expert knowledge across the team, contribute to team output and development, building relationships across the Firm.

What you'll bring to the role

  • Strong analytic and problem solving/process improvement skills.
  • Strong product knowledge on OTC Derivatives on FX, Commodities, Equity, Credit and Interest Rates
  • Good understanding of regulatory rules and obligations on any of the reporting regimes (CFTC, SEC, CSA, EMIR, Mifid, HKMA, JFSA. ASIC, MAS)
  • Strong Functional knowledge of operations and trade life cycle
  • Strong experience in MS Office (Excel, Power Point etc)
  • Working knowledge & experience of data analytics tool such as Power BI, SQL, Python is preferred
  • CCP landscape would be an advantage
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of functional area and operational/compliance policies and procedures of their team.
  •  Ability to operate independently with respect to some job responsibilities.

  •  At least 3-6 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role.
