About The Role

An opportunity exists for Equity Research talent to join our highly regarded HK Research team at Associate level. This is an exciting and fast-paced job that will help to accelerate your career.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a supporting associate with 2-4 years relevant experience. Detailed responsibilities are as below:

  • Creating and maintaining earnings models by leveraging skills in accounting, finance and economics

  • Assisting in researching and drafting reports with a company, sector focus

  • Assisting in the design and preparation of analyst marketing materials

  • Responding to requests for bespoke analysis from internal and external clients

  • Identifying and analyzing macroeconomics factors and industry trends

  • Collaborating with domestic, regional and global colleagues on research projects 

Qualifications / Skills Required 

  • Proven experience in equity research role. Relevant industry experience will also be highly regarded.

  • A university degree or post-graduate qualification (or equivalent), preferably in Economics, Econometrics, Actuarial, Finance, Engineering, or Law 

  • Proactive and hard-working, with a willingness to work independently, to meet deadlines and take accountability

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • A natural curiosity in corporate strategy and how businesses operate, succeed and fail

  • Ability to construct financial models and databases

  • Ability to think laterally, creatively and to problem solve

  • Ability to work in small teams and a strong focus on coordination, collaboration and teamwork

  • Fluency in both English and Mandarin is required
