The Staff R&D Engineer

- Contribute to broader R&D initiatives within the Stryker Peripheral Vascular Division, supporting next‑generation device development.
- Independently research, design, develop, and verify complex mechanical and electro‑mechanical components for vascular thrombectomy platforms.
- Lead development of mechanical structures, including 3D printing and molding, from concept through verification.
- Utilize CAD/CAE tools to model new designs and generate detailed engineering drawings and specifications.
- Define and translate product functional requirements into integrated designs, evaluating performance, cost, reliability, and safety.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, Regulatory, and Clinical partners to ensure design excellence and manufacturability.
- Ensure adherence to design controls, risk management, and industry standards, while promoting best engineering practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant professional experience.
- Demonstrated experience working with Class II and Class III medical devices.
- Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks, with expert-level capabilities.
- Proven experience in injection-molded part design.
- Hands-on project experience with computational fluid dynamics (CFD) concepts and tools.
- Experience in test development using LabVIEW or Python.
- Background in verification and validation (V&V) test automation and fixture development.
