DESCRIPTION

Job Summary

Supports the customer-facing sales force through the complete rhythm of sales, from lead generation to order closure. This role executes, supports, and improves sales and branch operations activities under limited supervision, contributing to achievement of Annual Operating Plan (AOP) targets across CCC, CTT, and Retail lines of business while supporting focus products, Mitwa activation, and fleet business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to incoming customer calls and emails, qualify enquiries, and route qualified leads to the appropriate sales professionals.
  • Compile budgetary quotes for simple to complex requirements by gathering technical data, lead times, and customer-specific information for the customer-facing sales team.
  • Participate in customer visits, meetings, and events and make decisions where standard procedures are not clearly defined.
  • Receive and process customer orders, issue order acknowledgements, invoices, and shipping notices for simple to complex transactions.
  • Communicate order status, inventory availability, and related information to the customer-facing sales force, proactively identifying and addressing potential issues.
  • Resolve customer issues directly where applicable and coordinate with internal teams for resolution, including shipment- and after-sales-related concerns.
  • Periodically review and report inventory and stock levels; initiate corrective actions and create replenishment orders as required.
  • Actively support branch personnel in retail sales activities across varying levels of complexity.
  • Support execution of sales initiatives aligned with branch KPIs including AOP achievement across CCC, CTT, and Retail, focus product performance, Mitwa activation, and fleet business growth.
  • Adhere to Cummins sales processes, systems, and compliance requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education, or equivalent experience as permitted by applicable regulations.
  • This position may require licensing or authorization to comply with export control or sanctions regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience

  • Significant relevant work experience or specialized skills gained through education, training, or on-the-job experience.
  • Prior experience in sales support, inside sales, branch operations, or customer service roles is preferred.
  • Exposure to retail, fleet, or multi-line-of-business sales environments is an advantage.
