What you’ll do in the role:
Morgan Stanley Investment Management Inc. is seeking a Sr. Associate, Marketing in Boston, MA to support the Firm's investment teams, consultant relations, institutional and intermediary new business acquisition efforts. Manage the Requests for Proposal (RFPs) from prospective clients, consultants, and third party intermediaries across all business channels. Compile detailed descriptions and data analysis of products and trategies from available sources. Respond to ad hoc, non-RFP requests for information. Acquire broad understanding of Firm products and all applicable content and data resource. Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts to obtain specialized data or content. Develop management relationship skills via increasingly independent interaction with Subject Matter Experts. Support the sales professionals as needed. Telecommuting permitted up to 2 days per week.
What you’ll bring to the role:
-Requires a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field of study.
-Requires five (5) years of experience in the position offered or five (5) years as a Sr. Associate, Associate, Client Portfolio Manager, Analyst, or a closely related occupation.
-Requires five (5) years of experience with the following skills:
- fixed income strategies and products, including floating-rate loan and CLO products
- vehicle types used to sell fixed income funds across geographies
- researching local marketing practices, regulations and required disclosures in various regions
- where products fit in the overall fixed income market vis-à-vis risk return appetite of various types of institutional investors and how this asset class reacts to the various market cycles
- portfolio level data used in written documents and client questionnaires
- running analytics using Barclays Point and BlackRock Aladdin
- Salesforce, Door, Aladdin, Seismic, and Tableau
- online platforms including Bfinance, DiligenceVault, and Global Funds Search
- consultant database portals
Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $110,000 and $160,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
