Job Details
Cummins is looking for a technical translator to join its training and development team based in Candiac.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Prepare instructional materials including participant guides, instructor guides, presentations, tests and job aids.
- Assist with needs analysis, audience analysis and tasks analysis.
- Conduct basic external research to identity and evaluate training and development programs available through vendors and educational institutions.
- Gather data for cost-benefit analysis of alternative instructional material development solutions such as modifications, purchases or developments.
- Maintain records and reports on individual and group training progress using common tools and systems.
- Administer learning and development activities, instructor-led events and e-learning, including communication, scheduling events, facilitators, employees, vendors and facilities, and coordinating materials and conference room logistics.
- Effectively manage stakeholder relationships —respond courteously, accurately and in a timely fashion to training and development related questions and requests.
Qualifications
A criminal background check will be required.
Must be fluent in both English and French Canadian, written and spoken.
Responsibilities
Education, Licenses, Certifications:
- High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
- This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience:
- Requires some work experience or intermediate level knowledge obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.
About the role:
- Position to support our training teams according to Quebec's Bill 96.
- Daytime hours from Monday to Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Position based at the Candiac branch with travel across the province of Quebec to be expected.
