We are looking for a talented Machinist - Level III to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Cummins Inc. facility in Fletcher, NC .

Job Summary:

Analyzes and manufactures complex components using machine tool equipment. Learns and understands the protocols of working safely with electricity and other energy sources with industrial equipment. May work independently and instruct or coach others.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

• Mentorship and Training: Instructing and coaching less experienced team members will foster a collaborative and knowledgeable team environment.

• Continuous Improvement: Actively participating in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) teams to improve quality, safety, processes, and material flow will drive ongoing improvements in the workplace.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

• High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.

• This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience:

• Requires significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.

QUALIFICATIONS

Carburizer Overview:

• This position is responsible for the safe setup, operation, inspection, and operator maintenance of Carburizer work-centers, including operating, auto load/unload via robot.

• Position is responsible to produce components that meet and/or exceed Cummins design engineering specifications, while meeting standard productivity cost and delivery targets.

• Position will be able to perform changeovers, setups, recognize press issues and make machine/process adjustments as needed, problem solving, support training and identify improvement opportunities for both robots and machines.

Flexibility is required as this position will have to operate various work-centers that will be required for production as needed.
