In your internship at a globally leading medical technology company, you’ll be right in the

middle of the action: As a member of the R&D Simulation team,  you will primarily learn and contribute to the advanced bone morphology analysis tools for the development of new orthopeadic medical devices.

Our offer for you

  • You will work on our cross-site Stryker Orthopaedic Modeling and Analytics (SOMA) database for bone data and 3D models to optimize our products.

  • You perform statistical analysis based on the 3D bone models, interpret the results and communicate them to your colleagues.

  • You work closely with international colleagues from different departments.

  • With your work, you make a significant contribution to successful product development and support marketing and scientific collaborations.

  • Within the scope of your project, you will document the process steps carried out and the findings obtained by regularly preparing reports.

What makes you stand out

  • You are enrolled in an engineering degree programme (e.g. biomedical engineering, medical informatics), preferably at Master's level.

  • You have a basic knowledge of anatomy and ideally some experience in medical imaging and segmentation of DICOM data.

  • You have experience working with mesh (polygon) 3D models.

  • You enjoy learning new software applications.

  • Analytical and creative problem solving are among your strengths.

  • You are proficient in MS Office applications and have a very good command of English and ideally a good command of German or French.

  • You work independently, are highly motivated and committed, and are willing to take responsibility quickly.

Duration of your internship: 6 months (full-time)

Type of internship: We offer voluntary internships alongside your studies, compulsory internships/practical semesters, and a combination of both

When you start with us: September or October 2026

Where you will work: Schönkirchen near Kiel

What you can expect: Fair pay, holiday entitlement, exciting training and personal mentoring, and flexible working hours.

Diversity is important to us. We welcome applications from people regardless of their ethnic, national or social origin, gender, disability, age or sexual identity.

We’re excited to receive your application! Please include all relevant documents (cover letter, CV, and transcript of records) and upload them directly under the “CV” section of the application form.

If your application is successful, we will first conduct a short telephone interview with our University Talent Acquisition Team. If everything fits, this will be followed by a one-hour video interview with the department. We will then get back to you with final feedback.
