DESCRIPTION

Job Summary

Provides technical support on Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) matters to production and site personnel under the guidance of the Site HSE Leader. Assists in the implementation, analysis, review, and sustainability of the Health, Safety and Environmental Management Systems. This role ensures compliance with corporate standards, local regulatory requirements, and contributes to fostering a positive HSE culture through active engagement and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Management

  • Maintains required skills and knowledge to effectively perform HSE duties.
  • Identifies gaps in corporate HSE initiatives and local policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensures HSE culture is embedded in all site processes and maintains confidentiality in line with corporate data protection and retention requirements.
  • Performs Stop Work when necessary and promptly reports injuries, illnesses, incidents, or hazards through approved reporting channels.
  • Provides HSE guidance to employees, contractors, and site teams on internal safety processes.
  • Supports the implementation and maintenance of hazard identification, incident investigation, and risk assessment processes, including delivery of training.
  • Supports closure of corrective and preventive actions through proactive follow-up and collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Coordinates environmental management activities and supports sustainability initiatives.
  • Conducts administrative HSE tasks, documentation management, and report preparation.

HSE Assurance & Compliance

  • Participates in HSE inspections and audit programs; leads incident investigations and reporting activities.
  • Supports trend analysis of incidents, near misses, unsafe conditions, and regulatory compliance issues.
  • Assists in maintaining local HSE policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance documentation.
  • Supports the implementation and maintenance of Emergency Response procedures and delivers related training.

Employee Engagement & Site Support

  • Participates in engagement initiatives designed to strengthen an interdependent HSE culture.
  • Communicates effectively across departments to create HSE awareness and promote proactive safety behaviors.
  • Supports site-level wellness, environmental sustainability, and safety initiatives.

Quality & Operational Support

  • Follows all applicable standard work, quality procedures, and documentation requirements.
  • Raises quality and safety issues to minimize cost and exposure.
  • Conducts quality checks, identifies non-conforming materials, and supports process improvements.

Teamwork & Development

  • Collaborates effectively with team members and cross-functional groups.
  • Completes required training and participates in personal and professional development activities.
  • Actively contributes to improving quality, safety, material flow, and employee development initiatives.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Qualifications

Education, Licenses & Certifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health, or a related field (required).
  • ADIS (Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety) is mandatory .
  • Computer Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) is required.
  • Knowledge of ISO 14001 (Environmental) and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety) standards is required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience

  • 5–6 years of relevant experience in industries such as manufacturing, automotive, construction, or power sector.
  • Experience in:
  • Conducting Risk Assessments
  • Performing Safety Inspections
  • Executing Emergency Drills
  • Conducting Toolbox Talks
  • Supporting HSE audits & compliance tasks
  • Training employees and engaging with stakeholders
  • Strong oral and written communication skills required.
