We are looking for you to join our team as a Configuration Management Administrator based out of Tampa, FL.
What You’ll get to Do:
Northrop Grumman is seeking a highly skilled Configuration Management Administrator to join our dynamic team. The scope of this position includes but is not limited to:
- Develop and implement comprehensive configuration management policies and procedures.
- Coordinate and streamline projects across diverse teams to ensure efficient operations.
- Audit and maintain documentation to ensure compliance with contract standards.
- Manage inventory, including hardware, software, devices, computers, and networks.
- Apply detailed knowledge of processes in accordance with customer contract requirements and collaborate with multiple teams to enhance procedures.

During the first 30 days of employment onboarding activities to include Northrop Grumman training requirements, program overviews, system architecture familiarization, and department-specific training will establish a solid foundation for the new team member. Introductions to management and team leads will provide insight into the team dynamics while identifying key areas where the administrator can provide value to the mission.

Day 30 through 90 will consist of further integrating the administrator into daily activities with a team lead to guide them. Tasks will be assigned in accordance with the appropriate pace needed to ensure process and system architecture assimilation.

Day 90 and onward will consist of mission-guided projects and opportunities for the administrator to collaborate in a cross-functional team environment. From leading day-to-day activities, to coordinating cutting-edge feature enhancements to the enterprise architecture, the administrator will have the ability to invest in their future while delivering maximum value to our customer’s mission.
Basic Qualifications: -
Minimum Education / Experience for Configuration Management Administrator: Five (5) years of relevant experience with Bachelors Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering and/or Mathematics (STEM), or other IT related degree; three (3) years with Masters Degree; NOTE: Four (4) years of additional relevant experience can be substituted in lieu of degree.
- US Citizenship is required with an active DoD Top Secret/SCI security clearance which was active in the last 24 months. TS/SCI eligibility must be in place by the start date.
- Must possess DoD 8570 Certification for IAT Level II or higher prior to start date.
- Experience maintaining the folder structure of large data repositories.
- Experience in creating Software and Hardware Configuration Management plans, data migration documentation, and maintaining version control artifacts.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite, MS Visio, and sustaining engineering diagrams.
- Experience reading schematics, populating multiple databases, and using software such as MS Visio for project documentation.
- Experience with change control of artifacts and conducting periodic audits for verification.
- Experience following labeling standards and tracking all configuration changes and inventory information in Excel spreadsheets.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with delivering Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) documents to the customer
- Experience reviewing equipment room facilities which include hardware and software devices, computers, and networks
- Experience in automating engineering tasks utilizing scripting and/or orchestration tools. Specifically, proficiency in one or more of the following languages is preferred: PowerShell, Python, Bash, or YAML (executed/managed via Ansible).
- Experience with version control and change management tools such as Atlassian Tool Suite, SharePoint, Microsoft Azure DevOps Server (ADS), Git, BitBucket, IBM Rational Team Concert (RTC), and/or IBM Rational ClearCase, Synergy, Jenkins, Artifactory)
- Experience with software and networking version control including Cisco Router configurations, Firewall security policies, VPN Configurations, Linux service configurations, Active Directory security groups, GPO Policies, STIG security requirements, VCenter permissions
- Experience overseeing the management of binaries and artifacts using Nexus Sonatype
- Experience understanding space, power, HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) requirements, and hardware specifications in equipment rooms
- Agile or SCRUM Certification is preferred.

Salary Range: $84,200 - $126,400
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate’s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
