DESCRIPTION

Job Summary

Operates machines and production equipment safely in a manufacturing environment in accordance with quality and productivity requirements, with limited guidance. Supports mass production on assembly lines while ensuring adherence to health, safety, quality, and delivery standards. May coach or instruct others as required.

Key Responsibilities Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)

  • Stop work and immediately report any unsafe conditions or major injury hazards.
  • Report all work-related injuries, illnesses, incidents, and hazards.
  • Comply with all applicable HSE standards, policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
  • Promote an interdependent safety culture by looking out for others and correcting hazards within control.
  • Recognize environmental impacts of work activities and take actions to minimize negative effects.
  • Participate in mandatory HSE training programs.

Quality

  • Follow standard work instructions, process documentation, and quality procedures including SPC, poka-yoke, and visual standards.
  • Perform quality inspections and identify, segregate, and control non-conforming material.
  • Raise quality issues to minimize cost and quality risks.
  • Support internal audits such as 5S and Layered Process Audits (LPA).

Delivery & Operations

  • Operate manual and automated equipment to manufacture and assemble products meeting customer specifications.
  • Achieve daily production targets while working at defined cycle times or engineering standards.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area, including routine housekeeping and machine cleaning.
  • Perform planned operator care and basic maintenance activities.
  • Remain flexible and perform additional tasks as needed to meet production goals.
  • Work collaboratively with peers, skilled trades, and support teams to identify and address equipment repair needs.
  • Support production across all three shifts, as per business requirements.

Teamwork & Continuous Improvement

  • Communicate effectively with team members and cross-functional support teams.
  • Participate in training, skill development, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Contribute ideas to improve safety, quality, processes, material flow, and employee development.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education, or equivalent experience in accordance with applicable regulations.
  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS

Skills & Knowledge

  • Basic knowledge of quality control tools and problem-solving methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience in mass production and assembly line operations.
  • Ability to independently use MS Office tools including Excel and PowerPoint, and familiarity with Oracle systems.
  • Basic understanding of TBWS structure.
  • Basic knowledge of cobots and robot teaching.
  • Basic understanding of welding types, welding processes, and related operations.
  • Awareness of IATF, HSEMS systems, and manufacturing compliance requirements.
  • Basic knowledge of Industry 4.0 concepts and machine automation.
  • Ability to operate machines and production equipment independently while meeting quality and productivity requirements.

Experience

  • Requires some relevant work experience or intermediate-level knowledge obtained through education, training, or on-the-job experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
