We are looking for a talented Controls Engineer - Senior to join our team specializing in MANUFACTURING for CUMMINS in San Luis Potosí, SLP. (100% On site role)
Job Summary:
This role provides support across the entire plant within the Manufacturing department, interacting closely with its main internal customers: Quality and Maintenance, in the Engines and Cylinder Heads businesses.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Design and develop control strategies for industrial processes.
- Program, configure, and provide support for PLC, HMI (Human Machine Interface), and SCADA systems.
- Participate in the implementation, testing, and commissioning of automation control systems using COBOTS (collaborative robots).
- Analyze and troubleshoot automation and control system failures.
- Interpret P&ID, electrical, and control diagrams.
- Coordinate and provide technical support to junior engineers and plant technicians.
- Ensure compliance with technical standards, regulations, and industrial safety requirements.
- Document changes, improvements, and configurations in control systems.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and external suppliers.
RESPONSIBILITIES
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience as a Controls Engineer or Programmer, preferably in the automotive or electronics manufacturing industry.
- Strong experience programming PLCs (Siemens or Allen‑Bradley) and HMI systems.
- Experience with industrial instrumentation: sensors, transmitters, control valves, variable frequency drives.
- Availability to travel nationally and internationally 10% of the time.
- 100% on‑site work model
- Advanced English.
Preferred (Desirable):
- Experience in RFA (Business Cases for Capital Requests).
- Experience in managing industrial networks (Profibus, Profinet, Ethernet/IP, Modbus).

Education, Licenses, Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
