Global Markets Group is the offshoring arm of Morgan Stanley’s Sales & Trading businesses in India. It covers functions across IED ranging from those associated with sales, trading, analytics, strats to risk management.

Primary Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this role would involve providing transactional support to US TMG team in relation to structured products (e.g., notes, certificates, or warrants) issued by a Morgan Stanley entity in relation to the following:

  • Trade Support: Manage trade approvals using various systems and applications, ensuring all parameters align with trade documentation on internal systems. Take ownership of notifications, uploading, and updating information on online portals, while performing thorough deal reviews to maintain accuracy and compliance throughout the process.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with Sales, Trading, COO, and Operations teams to drive timely and accurate trade execution.

  • Documentation & Compliance: Manage Final Terms, Pricing Supplements, and ensure all trade parameters align with documentation and regulatory requirements.

  • Reporting & Analytics: Prepare and analyze data for management information, payments, and metrics reporting.

  • Risk & Controls: Maintain robust controls, perform trade reviews, and proactively address post-trade issues.

  • Continuous Improvement: Champion process enhancements and contribute to a culture of operational excellence.

  • Process Innovation: Identify and implement automation opportunities using advanced tools (Excel, VBA, Python, workflow platforms) to optimize efficiency and reduce manual intervention.

Skills required (essential)

  • MBA / CA  with 3 - 6 years of experience.

  • Candidates should have experience in derivative products.

  • In-depth understanding of equity or other asset-linked structured notes, warrants, certificates, trade lifecycles, and product mechanics will be preferred.

  • Candidates must have worked in a fast-paced environment and be able to work to tight deadlines.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to manage internal relationships effectively

  • Demonstrated experience in identifying automation opportunities and implementing process improvements to optimize efficiency within trade support or transaction management functions.

  • Familiarity with automation tools, workflow optimization, or related technologies is a strong advantage.

  • Candidates must be organized, proactive and able to multi-task.

  • Advance knowledge of Excel preferred.

  • Proficiency in English is a must, both verbal and written.
