Global Payroll Analyst

Introduction to the team:

Our Corporate Functions are made up of teams that support Expedia Group, including our Global Finance Org., Traveler and Partner Service Platform, Legal Team, Strategy and Corporate Development Team, and People & Places Org.

The Global Payroll team is responsible for the timely execution of payroll activities, by verifying compliance, effective management of vendors and timely execution of issues. The team works to ensure that payroll processing accurately reflects the company-specific pay policies and procedures for each country where our employees work.

As Global Payroll Analyst you will own payroll activities and processing for Italy, ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of payroll data collection, controls and reporting within the parameters of the local compliance infrastructure.

In this role, you will:

  • Ensure accurate processing and execution of payroll activities for Italy
  • Adhere to local legal and regulatory requirements (e.g. reporting mandates, policy compliance, pay code management)
  • Provide information on compliance standards and requirements to stakeholders
  • Adhere to KPIs and SLA in management of payroll processing, and compliance and controls execution
  • Suggest and engage in transformation / process improvement discussions
  • Maintain data integrity across systems

Experience and qualifications:

  • 3 years+ of experience in payroll administration in a complex international organization for Italy and multiple countries
  • English and Italian language skills
  • Experience working with Workday (HCM), ServiceNow (CRM) and CloudPay (Payroll and reporting)
  • Strong payroll and employment tax subject matter understanding for Italian payroll
  • Understanding of Tax, Social Insurance, Employment Law and Regulatory Practices in Italy
  • Ability to manage Internal and External Audit requests
  • Understanding of accounting concepts
  • Good understanding of SOX expectations

Please note that this role is only available in the following locations: Prague, in alignment with our flexible work model which requires employees to be in-office at least three days a week. We are unable to offer relocation assistance for this role.
