Job Description
Reporting to the Vice President of Executive Social Media, the Director of Executive Social Media will support the firmwide Executive Social Media Program through hands-on content development and day-to-day execution.
The Director will be responsible for developing executive content calendars, writing and editing copy, and coordinating photography and visual assets. Working closely with internal partners, including Legal, Compliance, Technology, as well as external vendors, this role will manage approvals, ensure brand alignment, and execute content efficiently and accurately.
This is a highly visible, global role that requires strong writing skills, editorial judgment, and the ability to translate leadership priorities into compelling social content. The ideal candidate is a collaborative partner who is comfortable working with senior stakeholders, managing multiple executive workflows, and balancing speed with precision, while executing within an established program strategy and brand framework.
Primary Responsibilities:
> Execute against the firm's established Executive Social Media Program strategy, ensuring alignment with broader marketing, communications, and business priorities.
> Develop and manage executive-specific content calendars and write, edit, and refine social-first copy. Manage the associated legal and compliance review process.
> Coordinate and produce visual content, including photography and supporting assets, attending relevant events as needed to capture social content.
> Partner closely with Legal, Compliance, Technology, and external vendors to manage workflows and executional logistics, ensuring a seamless ongoing experience for executives.
> Monitor content performance in partnership with the VP, Social Media Analytics and Operations, contributing to regular reporting that highlights performance trends, engagement insights, and optimization opportunities.
> Stay informed on emerging social media trends, platform updates, and content formats, applying relevant insights to evolve executional approaches within the established program framework.
> Collaborate across the broader social team on high-priority campaigns and activations, supporting executive participation through tailored content.
> Build and maintain strong working relationships with executive offices and key internal partners to support effective content execution and ongoing collaboration.
Requirements:
> Bachelor's degree required.
> 8+ years of experience in social media and executive communications, preferably at an enterprise company or large agency.
> A proactive, motivated leader with exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, who can drive the growth of this key program.
> A demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work across multiple projects simultaneously.
> Subject matter expertise on best practices for LinkedIn and proven results building a social following and engagement.
> Proficiency with social publishing and creative tools (e.g. Sprinklr and Canva) with strong experience creating captivating content specifically for social.
> A clear understanding of social analytics, and how to apply those findings to improve programs.
> Stellar written and verbal communication skills and experience presenting and liaising with senior executives.
> Strong relationship management skills, experience working with stakeholders cross-functionally and in global markets.
> Exceptional time management and organizational skills with the ability to multitask.
> Interest in AI and exploring emerging use cases in marketing/social.
