We're seeking someone to join our team as a Full Stack Developer in MS at Work Tech to be responsible for project-team leadership, support and direction with business systems analysis, development and occasional maintenance support in an object/service-oriented architecture implemented in multiple languages, mainly Java.

This is a Software Engineering II position at Associate level, which is part of the job family responsible for developing and maintaining software solutions that support business needs.

What you’ll do in the role:

  • Works closely with Systems Architects, Software Team Leads and fellow developers to design, develop and deploy technical solutions, ensuring alignment with both industry standards and company architecture.

  • Analyses complex information, designs and develops database applications, and troubleshoots issues across various environments, including production and quality assurance, while mentoring other IT team members.

  • Reviews functional requirements and thoroughly documents technical designs, project task descriptions, effort estimates, and resolutions to system problems.

  • Performs new development, maintenance fixes and enhancements to meet evolving business needs, collaborating with cross-functional teams as required.

  • Develops, reviews, refines and documents plans for automated and manual unit and integration tests, ensuring all tests are successfully completed before production deployment.

  • Documents technical requirements, subsystem designs, and testing strategies to maintain clarity and consistency throughout the software development lifecycle.

  • Assists other teams in resolving application issues, providing guidance and support to both software developers and IT staff, and contributing to knowledge sharing within the organization.

  • Ensures compliance with industry and company standards by reviewing new work, utilizing best practices in design, development, and documentation.

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • At least 2+ years of experience in Java, SQL, Java IDE (preferably IntelliJ IDEA), Spring Framework, Data Structure & Algorithms, React, JDBC and JPA/Hibernate, API/API Design, Unix/Linux, KAFKA as well as advanced Java concepts.

  • Bachelor’s degree (pref. Computer Science or related degree) or equivalent experience

  • Highly self-motivated, with the ability to complete tasks with minimal guidance, and to learn independently

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities as well as English verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills in working in a cross-functional team comprised of Product Analysts, QA, UAT, Development and PMO members

  • Ability to juggle tasks and priorities to meet rapidly changing deadlines

  • Must work with System Architects to review/approve program and subsystem designs
