We are looking for a talented Service Team Leader Mining to join our team specializing in Service for Cummins in Gällivare, Aitik Mine, Sweden.
In this role you'll be managing a team of 9 experienced service technicians and will have a chance to work with the best-in-class technologies in one of the largest mining sites in the country.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Lead and support the local service team, acting as the primary on-site point of contact while maintaining regular, timely communication with customers to ensure alignment on service delivery and expectations.
- Supervise, coordinate, and schedule Service Technicians’ daily activities, ensuring work plans align with customer quotes, safety standards, and service agreements.
- Monitor technician productivity, repair quality, and job progress; provide coaching, performance feedback, and development opportunities, including conducting performance reviews.
- Plan, track, and follow up on day-to-day service activities and preventative maintenance in collaboration with customers, ensuring repairs are completed within quoted timeframes.
- Support service execution by managing service logistics, materials, equipment, and workforce utilization, while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and operational efficiency.
- Ensure adherence to service processes, including accurate review of quotes, invoicing of completed work per agreements, and escalation of technical or operational issues when required.
RESPONSIBILITIES
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Proven experience in mining operations, workshop coordination, or service management within an industrial or heavy equipment environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of engines and aftertreatment systems, with the ability to support and guide service teams.
- Fluent in English and Swedish, with strong communication skills that build trust, confidence, and transparency with both customers and employees.
- Valid driver’s license and a positive, proactive attitude with a strong focus on teamwork, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/ Experience:
- College, university, or equivalent degree in a relevant discipline or relevant experience equivalent required.
- Relevant work experience in a technical field, including team leadership experience, preferred.
