DESCRIPTION
Under minimal supervision and in accordance with Cummins Delegation of Authority Policy, the Supply Chain Coordinator – Level III uses statistical analysis, collaborative cross-functional intelligence, and validated planning parameters to disaggregate the demand plan and determine optimal inventory levels. The role ensures alignment between demand and supply plans, drives supply chain stability, and supports end-customer needs across the network.
This role provides operational support aligned to the US time zone and requires working in the night shift (5:00 PM to 2:00 AM IST) . Employees working this shift are eligible for night shift allowance and pickup & drop facilities (within PMC & PCMC jurisdiction), as per SCS&A policy.
Key Responsibilities Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE)
- Report any work-related injury, illness, incident, or hazard.
- Comply with all HSE standards, policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Participate in mandatory HSE training and initiatives.
Quality
- Follow standard work, process documentation, and quality procedures.
- Perform quality checks on planning system parameters (min/max levels, reorder points, tracking signals, segmentation, etc.).
- Take corrective actions to support Plan for Every Part (PFEP) .
Delivery & Supply Planning
- Coordinate with internal and external suppliers and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Process, monitor, and manage supplier orders to meet supply plans.
- Perform supply and demand analysis, highlighting risks and constraints for the next 12 months.
- Monitor and adjust planned and released procurement signals; expedite as required.
- Identify abnormal demand or inventory signals and recommend corrective actions.
- Run planning parameter simulations to assess KPI impact and present detailed and executive-level reports.
- Enter approved forecast and planning adjustments at the detailed level.
- Own and manage the disaggregated demand, supply, and inventory plans to meet customer requirements.
Reporting & Analytics
- Conduct metrics analysis and prepare regular and ad-hoc reports.
- Utilize tools such as Kinaxis, GOMS , and aftermarket material planning systems.
- Interpret materials KPIs and assess gaps against organizational targets.
Teamwork & Continuous Improvement
- Communicate effectively within the team and with global support functions.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects related to quality, safety, process efficiency, and material flow.
- Complete required training and support personal development aligned with business and career goals.
- Remain flexible and perform additional duties as required to meet business objectives.

- Materials Planning System Utilization: Uses materials planning systems as the primary tool for managing supply and demand, supported by ad-hoc tools such as Excel, Access, TOAD, or OMS when required.
- Plan for Every Part (PFEP): Applies PFEP principles across master data, planning parameters, engineered flows, transport, and warehouse management.
- Inventory Management & Optimization: Determines optimal inventory investment across the end-to-end supply chain while balancing space, service, and cost constraints.
- Materials KPI Management: Interprets KPIs to understand customer impact and strategically balances trade-offs between competing metrics.
- Network Master Supply Planning: Collaborates cross-functionally to balance long-term demand and supply while achieving service, financial, and stability objectives.
Experience
- 5–7 years of significant and relevant work experience preferred.
- Experience in materials planning, production scheduling, manufacturing, inventory control, or related supply chain functions.
- Exposure to advanced planning tools such as Kinaxis , GOMS , and aftermarket material planning is desirable.
QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications
- High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience, in line with applicable regulations.
- Ability and willingness to work in the night shift (5:00 PM – 2:00 AM IST) supporting the US time zone.
