The Executive Director and Relationship Manager of Fixed Income Sales is responsible for driving revenue growth by cultivating and sustaining high-value, long-term relationships with key institutional clients. Acting as a trusted advisor, this senior leader leverages deep knowledge of fixed income markets to deliver customized investment strategies and tailored solutions to our institutional clients. The Executive Director will be responsible for covering a defined group of Financial Institutions who partner with us as distributors and investors in our products across a defined territory, predominantly located in the western part of the country. The Executive Director will execute a dual-focused strategy that emphasizes new business development, alongside client retention and growth. The position is supported by a dedicated sales desk, product management group, and cross-divisional sales team.

What you will do in the role:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for key institutional clients, acting as a trusted advisor to understand their investment needs and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Develop a business development plan for a defined group of Fixed Income Intermediaries and Investors.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, grow assets under management (AUM) and meet or exceed revenue targets.
  • Deliver tailored market updates, portfolio reviews, and investment solutions to senior-level decision-makers.
  • Partner with portfolio managers, product specialists, and marketing teams to develop investment strategies and enhance client coverage.
  • Lead, mentor, and coach junior sales staff and ensure all sales activities strictly comply with regulatory requirements.

What you bring to the role:

  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in fixed income sales, institutional relationship management, or portfolio management.
  • Deep understanding of fixed income markets, including credit, interest rates, structured finance, and active/passive strategies.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with a proven ability to manage complex relationships.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with experience in managing or mentoring teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree required. CFA designation or MBA is preferred.
  • Series 7 License required.

Salary range for the position: $200,000 - $300,000 Yr. The successful candidate may be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which also may include a discretionary bonus component.
