We are seeking a Payments Risk Analyst to join the Payments Risk Management team, supporting core non-financial risk activities across the Firm. The role covers risk identification, challenge, governance, monitoring, reporting, and stakeholder engagement. The ideal candidate has strong experience in financial services risk management, is proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.
The Legal & Compliance Division (LCD) comprises Legal, Compliance, Operational Risk, Global Financial Crimes, and Regulatory Relations. Together, Operational Risk, Compliance, and Global Financial Crimes form the Non-Financial Risk (NFR) organization. The Payments Risk Management team partners with business and risk stakeholders across the Firm to identify, challenge, monitor, and report key payments risks. The team plays a critical role in ensuring payments risk is effectively governed and transparently communicated to senior leadership.

What you will do in the role:
> Partner with payments and risk teams across the Firm to identify, assess, manage, and report payments-related risks
> Contribute to Non-Financial Risk Assessments (NFRA) where payments risk is in scope
> Develop and deliver risk reporting that highlights key issues, trends, and areas of concern to senior stakeholders
> Support internal audit and regulatory reviews, including responses to inquiries and remediation tracking
> Identify and execute opportunities to enhance efficiency, consistency, and control effectiveness within payments risk processes What you will bring to the role:
> Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related analytical discipline
> Around 5 years of experience in financial services, risk management, or a related control function
> Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with excellent attention to detail
> Ability to synthesize complex information, distill key facts, and reach sound, well-reasoned conclusions
> Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and concisely
> Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and operate effectively in a dynamic environment
> Collaborative mindset, with experience working across global, matrixed, and virtual teams
> Flexibility to contribute to broader Non-Financial Risk initiatives as needed
What will help you in the role:
> Understanding of Non-Financial Risk frameworks and governance models
> Experience with payments products, payment flows, or payments-related risk
> Exposure to regulatory expectations impacting payments (e.g., operational resilience, controls, or incident management)
> Prior experience working with audits, regulatory exams, or issue remediation
