Global Markets Group is the offshoring arm of Morgan Stanley’s Sales & Trading businesses in India. It covers functions across IED and Fixed Income Division (FID) ranging from those associated with sales, trading, analytics, strats to risk management.

Primary Responsibilities

Design and develop interactive, data-driven dashboards for enterprise applications. Collaborate with backend engineers and data teams to deliver performance, secure, and visually appealing solutions using Python and modern front-end frameworks. Help transitioning from traditional reporting into tech-oriented reporting by leveraging python. The job will involve producing management material to analyze trends and activity. Interaction will also be expected with Sales, Trading, Finance, Operations, Legal, Non-Market Risk, and COO teams.

Technical responsibility –

  • Proficiency in Python data analysis libraries, including Pandas and NumPy for data manipulation and computation, and Matplotlib for data visualization.
  • Develop reusable UI components and ensure responsive design.
  • Implement data visualization using Plotly, Dash, or Streamlit.
  • Optimize dashboard performance and ensure accessibility compliance.
  • Collaborate with backend teams for API integration and data handling.
  • Maintain code quality through testing and version control (Git).

Business responsibility –

  • Analysis of Greeks and derivatives payoffs (Calendar spreads, Straddle, etc).
  • Financial analysis of trades pre and post execution.
  • RWA, ROE and ROA analysis of trades.

 Skills required (essential)

We are looking for a pro-active person who has a high attention to detail, is a quick learner and has a natural curiosity to understand about financial markets and products.

  • Python: Strong in frameworks like Flask or FastAPI for API development.
  • Front-End: Proficiency in React or Angular, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Visualization: Experience with Plotly, Dash, Streamlit, or similar libraries.
  • Data Handling: Familiarity with pandas, NumPy, and RESTful APIs.
  • Tools: Git, CI/CD pipelines, and basic Docker knowledge
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, in order to be able to understand requirements, request data from, and present information to overseas colleagues from many different departments.
  • 4 to 6 years of experience
  • Structured Derivatives experience and quantitative background is a plus. Prior experience in risk management is also a plus.
