DESCRIPTION

Job Summary:

Responsible for assisting all Distribution Business customers, technicians, and other parts personnel in securing needed parts and supplies under moderate or direct supervision.

We are looking for a talented Service Parts Associate to join our Distribution Business in (Albuquerque, NM).

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

• Complying with Health, Safety, and Environmental standards, policies, procedures, and regulations and utilizing appropriate personal protective equipment

• Managing customer parts counter activities including receiving parts calls, greeting walk-in customers, and assisting with parts inquiries

• Processing customer transactions accurately including cash, check, and credit card payments

• Maintaining strong internal and external customer relationships by addressing needs and resolving issues in a timely manner

• Escalating complex customer concerns to senior parts personnel or supervisors when necessary

• Supporting sourcing and fulfillment of complex or hard-to-find parts requests

• Utilizing systems, catalogs, and other resources to identify and procure parts efficiently and cost-effectively

• Collaborating with technicians to identify correct parts and ensure timely availability

• Managing stock levels, shipping and receiving activities, warehouse operations, and inventory-related tasks

• Supporting core processing and other parts-related warehouse functions as assigned

• Identifying opportunities to upsell supporting products and services where appropriate

• Maintaining a clean, organized, and professional customer parts counter and warehouse environment

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Strong customer service and communication skills

• Action-oriented mindset with the ability to handle challenges with urgency and enthusiasm

• Ability to manage the full customer order life cycle including order intake, processing, modification, and fulfillment

• Working knowledge of order processing systems and inventory control methodologies

• Ability to optimize work processes with a focus on continuous improvement

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with diverse teams and customers

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and computer-based systems

• High school diploma or equivalent education or experience

• Some work experience or intermediate-level knowledge gained through education, training, or hands-on experience

• Ability to comply with export control or regulatory licensing requirements if applicable

QUALIFICATIONS

Additional Responsibilities Unique to this Position

Core Responsibilities / Activities:

  • Ensure all Field Service and Preventive Maintenance (PM) work order parts are accurately picked, staged, and available to support timely technician execution.
  • Actively manage and work the PM D and PM H lists on a daily basis to support smooth, uninterrupted operations for the PM group.
  • Perform shipping and receiving of critical and time-sensitive parts in support of Field Service and PM work orders.

Skill, Education, or Experience Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience supporting Field Service or technician-facing operations , including coordination of parts for work orders.
  • Working knowledge of inventory handling, parts staging, and internal transfers to support operational efficiency.
  • Experience with ordering, handling, and transferring lubricants or consumable products (e.g., Valvoline) for Field Service operations.
  • Ability to effectively use available software tools and systems (such as FieldAware and PGBU Warranty platforms) to support work order management, parts coordination, warranty-related activities, and overall Field Service operations.

Skill, Education, or Experience Preferences:

  • Prior experience working directly with Preventive Maintenance (PM) programs or maintenance scheduling systems.
  • Familiarity with Field Service workflows , technician support processes, and service management systems in a dealership or distribution environment.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.

Proficiency in Microsoft applications, generating reports, and advanced level computer skills.

This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience:

Requires some work experience or intermediate level of knowledge obtained through education, training, or on-the-job experience.

Salary rate commensurate with experience.
