DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a talented Health, Safety and Environmental Tech - Level IV to join our team specializing in Health and Safety for our Cummins Inc. facility Plainfield IN
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Promote a Strong HSE Culture You will actively integrate HSE values into daily operations, helping to build a culture where safety and environmental responsibility are second nature.
- Ensure Compliance and Best Practices By understanding and applying corporate HSE policies and regulatory requirements, you’ll help maintain compliance and reduce risk across the organization.
- Support Incident Prevention and Response Your role in hazard identification, incident reporting, and corrective action follow-up will directly contribute to a safer workplace.
- Drive Continuous Improvement Through participation in audits, inspections, and data analysis, you’ll help identify trends and opportunities to enhance HSE performance.
- Enhance Communication and Awareness By effectively communicating HSE information, you’ll raise awareness and encourage proactive safety behaviors among team members.
- Champion Environmental Stewardship Your involvement in environmental management activities will support sustainability goals and reduce the organization’s environmental footprint.
- Maintain High Standards of Quality and Confidentiality You’ll ensure accurate recordkeeping and uphold data protection standards, reinforcing trust and operational integrity.
- Foster Team Engagement and Development By participating in training, employee engagement, and wellness initiatives, you’ll help build a more informed, motivated, and safety-conscious workforce.

Education
- High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
- College, University or equivalent degree in Industrial Safety, Environmental Management, or Sustainability preferred.
Experience
- Requires some work experience or intermediate level knowledge obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.
- Actively participate in hazard identification, incident investigations, and risk assessments to support a safe and compliant work environment.
- Strong understanding of HSE regulations, processes, and risk assessment methodologies.
- Proficiency in maintaining accurate HSE documentation and recordkeeping in line with corporate policies.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to promote HSE awareness and drive engagement.
