We’re seeking someone to join our CDRR Technology team as a AI Power Platform Engineer, in Cyber to Design and deliver self-service, workflow-driven, and AI-assisted automation using Microsoft Power Platform and Copilot Studio to reduce operational volume, standardize request handling, and improve user experience across enterprise IT operations; this role focuses on orchestration and user experience, not backend logic or model building.

In the Technology division, we leverage innovation to build the connections and capabilities that power our Firm, enabling our clients and colleagues to redefine markets and shape the future of our communities.

This is Director position that provides specialist data analysis and expertise that drive decision-making and business insights as well as crafting data pipelines, implementing data models,  optimizing data processes for improved data accuracy and accessibility, including applying machine learning and AI-based techniques.

Since 1935, Morgan Stanley is known as a global leader in financial services, always evolving and innovating to better serve our clients and our communities in more than 40 countries around the world.

What you’ll do in the role:

1. Self-Service and Workflow Automation
Design and build self-service experiences using Power Apps and Power Pages (internal, Entra ID authenticated) to capture structured user inputs for operational requests & develop end-to-end workflows using Power Automate with conditional routing, approval chains, SLA-aware flows, and exception/fallback handling to standardize request intake, reduce unstructured tickets, and minimize manual clarification cycles.

2. Copilot Studio and Conversational Automation
Design and build Copilot Studio agents to guide users through structured conversations, extract intent and required parameters, and trigger backend automation and workflows, while implementing human-in-the-loop patterns for approvals or exceptions and ensuring conversational flows are consistent, safe, and aligned with operational policies.

3. Enterprise System Integration
Integrate Power Platform solutions with enterprise systems such as ServiceNow (Incident/Request creation, updates, & status checks), Outlook/Email (notifications & user communication), SharePoint/OneDrive (data storage, config, and templates), and REST APIs (consuming Python-based automation services), and orchestrate multi-step workflows that span systems without duplicating backend logic.

4. Text Generation using curated Prompts (Usage, Not Model Building)
Use Copilot/LLM capabilities responsibly to generate structured English text (emails, certificates, confirmations), summarize results from backend analysis, and standardize user communications, applying prompt discipline to ensure predictable output, a business-appropriate tone, and avoidance of hallucination-driven decisions.

5. Reliability, Governance, and Operations
Ensure all workflows are robust and production-ready, auditable & traceable, and designed with clear failure paths. Implement monitoring & alerting for failed or delayed flows and collaborate with Operations teams to continuously refine workflows & reduce manual intervention.

6. Cross-Team Collaboration
Work closely with the Automation Engineer to consume backend automation services via APIs, align on input/output contracts, and maintain a clear separation of concerns, while partnering with Operations and Support teams to identify self-service and workflow automation opportunities.

What you’ll bring to the role:

3–5 years of hands-on experience with Power Platform (including Power Apps and Power Pages) and Microsoft 365 automation, with exposure to enterprise IT operations or ITSM; BFSI or regulated environments are preferred.

1. Microsoft Power Platform (Primary)
Strong hands-on experience with Power Automate (complex multi-step flows, approvals, exception handling, and HTTP/API connectors), experience building Power Apps and Power Pages (form-based user interfaces, input validation, and structured data capture), and hands-on experience with Copilot Studio (intent design, action invocation, and conversational flow control).

2. Microsoft 365 and Enterprise Integration
Strong understanding of the Microsoft 365 ecosystem (Outlook/Email, Teams, and SharePoint/OneDrive), experience integrating with ServiceNow via connectors or APIs, and comfort consuming REST APIs and working with JSON payloads.

3. Workflow and Business Logic Thinking
Ability to design decision trees, conditional paths, and SLA-aware routing, with a strong understanding of ITSM/operational workflows and experience handling edge cases and exceptions gracefully.

4. Engineering and Operational Discipline
Build workflows with clear ownership and documentation, version-control awareness, and safe retry and rollback behaviour, and understand governance, access control, and compliance requirements in enterprise environments.
