OnsiteThe Senior Manager, Operations Project Management is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the capital management process within the C4I&A Portfolio in Mission Systems, as well as multiple other projects supporting the C4I&A Operations Strategy. This role must collaborate with multiple product portfolios, sites and functional organizations to plan and execute current year and future year capital plans to support the business and our customers.
This role will be performed onsite at our Collins location in Cedar Rapids, IA.
What You Will Do:
- Owns the execution of long-term capital strategy (e.g., more than 3 years) and the operational direction, for a business of large size and scope.
- Focuses on tactical and operational plans with short- to medium-term focus (e.g., less than 1 year to 1 - 2 years).
- Problems faced may be difficult to moderately complex.
- Influences others outside of own job area regarding policies, practices and procedures.
Purpose:
- Leads cross-functional teams across the business portfolio, overseeing short- to mid-term tactical and operational capital plans.
- This includes not only planning, but also overseeing execution and cadencing the capital projects once approved.
- Communicates and connects these plans and projects across the working level organization and up to Senior Level Leadership within Mission Systems.
Responsibilities:
- Implements initiatives that drive continuous improvements and achieve and maintain compliance with policies and procedures.
- Conducts in-depth analysis of the portfolio for capital opportunities and alignment to the business/customer.
- Collaborates with sites/functions to define plans and execution of portfolio’s capital
- Assesses capital, funding, and execution impacts and develops/implements programs to reduce risk as well as achieve and maintain compliance.
- Manages reporting cadence and reporting criteria.
- Establishes and tracks plans to achieve and maintain compliance and to reduce risk.
- Leads the communication of C4I&A capital plans and progress to the organization.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience.

The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.
