- The primary responsibility is to collect delinquent balances on Small Business and Consumer accounts.
- The portfolio consists of both cancelled relationships and high-risk customers.
- Candidates must be able to utilize strong negotiation and decision-making skills ensuring American Express profitability while maximizing recovery of card member balances.
- This includes handling inbound and outbound calls, advising of account status, consequences, and offering payment solutions, as well as reducing day’s delinquent and preventing call and account escalations.
- You will work independently, while still being a team player within the structured service center environment.
- A lucrative monthly commission-based incentive structure is in place, based on individual performance, which includes achieving targeted collection goals.
- Hours are Monday through Friday 6am to 3:30pm MT.
- Role is hybrid, 3 days a week in office, and 2 days a week from home. Office is located at 18850 N 56th St. Phoenix, AZ 85050
Minimum Qualifications:
- The successful candidate will be a top performer with a proven track record of success.
- They will be individuals with both competitive and strong will to win attitudes.
- Minimum 3 years of recent collections experience, or 3 years of sales experience with some collections experience
- Proven experience in negotiating in depth payment arrangements, at the client level
- Ability to manage multiple tasks within stringent timeframe's while maintaining accuracy
- Moderate to highly analytical individual with strong financial acumen
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Extremely flexible and adaptable in a changing environment
- Proficient PC skills (MS Office) and web knowledge
- High attention to detail and ability to adhere to American Express practices, policies, and procedures
- Call center experience
- Portfolio ownership, as well as inbound/outbound call blends experience
- Third party collections experience
- Knowledge of Fair Debit Collection Practice Act and laws
- Experience with Risk initiatives as they pertain to client level dunning
- Commercial collections experience
- Skip tracing experience
- High School Diploma or GED
Salary Range: $20.00 to $24.00 hourly + bonus + benefits
