How will you make an impact in this role?
The Acquisition & Customer Marketing (ACM) team within the International Card Services Centre of Excellence (CoE) drives market success across a portfolio of international markets. The way we acquire, onboard, and grow engagement with our prospects and cardmembers across ICS is more important than ever to continue to enable the strong trajectory of ICS and growth contribution to American Express.
This role is an exciting new opportunity as part of the International ACM organization to revolutionize the company’s future by attracting and acquiring new card members. ACM creates and collectively delivers the next horizon growth strategy, powered by investments, capabilities and marketing solutions that are customer centric, innovative and scalable.
Reporting to the Director, Small Business (SBS) Sales Strategy within the International Card Services (ICS) CoE Team, this position will be responsible for leading multiple activities to accelerate SBS acquisition, with particular focus on the SBS Sales channel and its lead generation engine: the successful candidate will drive impact by enabling strategic initiatives across markets, with initial focus on enhancing the delivery of high value leads to the sales channel, driving impact on many KPIs such as lead qualification rate and win rate.
The successful candidate will be expected to work across International Markets, across multiple projects simultaneously with many functional teams in order to implement these strategies and enhance the overall experience of ICS Cardmembers in International markets. The Manager will work closely with other ICS CoE teams, local markets, Product, Field Enablement and Analytics.
Minimum Qualifications
- Implement and evolve lead routing, lead data enrichment, and nurturing strategy, partnering with multiple teams via leading a robust management program
- Lead prioritization and arbitrage across multiple market priorities to ensure optimization and prioritization of highest impact initiatives in partnership with key stakeholders
- Build a community of best practice sharing and learnings across markets, including leading trainings and creation of how-to guides
- Lead key projects to improve the sales cycle and ensure full alignment with Sales Conduct
- Provide ongoing evaluation of strategic projects
- Partner with multiple teams to deliver reports and analytics to measure performance and inform future decisions
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong track record of leadership with demonstrated relationship building skills and proven ability to influence without authority and drive projects with little direction.
- Exceptional Interpersonal/influence management skills with the ability to work across different executive levels, diverse functions and multiple cultures.
- Proven drive for results in both strategic development and execution.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Previous experience in sales, marketing and/or project management, and a proven track record developing and implementing strategies in International markets
- The ability to stay calm under pressure and flexible amidst change
- Ability to operate independently and proactively in ambiguity
- Proven financial and commercial acumen with strong analytical and strategic skills
- Knowledge of Lead Generation and CRM tools (e.g. Oneforce) is a plus
