What you will do:
- Encourage enterprise-wide excellence by supporting all efforts to simplify and enhance the client experience.
- Drive complex programs through the development of program strategies that support business cases and high-level project plans.
- Ensure all programmatic response requirements are met by participating in the response for proposal (RFP) stage.
- Work with internal teams to develop the transition and implementation plans as required in the RFP response.
- Ensure the integration of projects by adjusting the scope, timing and budgets based on business needs and are aligned with the Federal Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) throughout the life of the contract.
- Act as the client’s advocate during the life of the contract by coordinating with multiple project managers across the organization and assembling the overall program plan to ensure deliverables are on schedule.
- Exceed client expectations by supporting the client throughout the program lifecycle, up to and including contract close out.
- Serve as a mentor to the Project Managers and leaders to educate and assist them with implementing project management processes and making improvements.
- Drive program management processes and methodologies to ensure the delivery of the project scope on time and within budget while meeting or exceeding quality standards and client SLAs and deliverables.
- Direct work efforts, review integrated project plans, escalate and communicate resource needs, supervise quality reviews and manage issue resolution to achieve objectives.
- Track key project milestones and recommend adjustments to Project Managers to complete projects on time and ensure high quality deliverables.
- Communicate with leadership and other stakeholders to inform on program strategy, direction and changes.
- Identify and prioritize opportunities to achieve enterprise goals or enhance program strategies by partnering with senior leadership within the business community.
- Maximize the Federal organization by mentoring a team of project managers and project management staff.
- Perform additional duties related to the position as assigned.
Required keys for success:
- Seven or more years of project management experience supporting the Federal Government and complex contracts and programs.
- Must be a U.S. citizen with the option to hold security clearances.
- Excel at working independently with no supervision and guidance.
- Proficient in prioritizing and organizing programs while defining key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics.
- Prioritization and organizational skills with the ability to effectively analyze and interpret data and show sound judgment to accomplish job duties.
- Confident when preparing and delivering data-driven presentations.
- Deadline-driven with the ability to resolve issues while working under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- History of influencing internal and external stakeholders while developing working relationships with peers and project members.
- Expert at managing large, complex, diverse and strategic projects that impact the entire organization.
- Successful track record of implementing program and project plans and monitoring progress, resource usage and quality.
- Proven ability to manage complex programs and project budgets.
- Advanced knowledge in conducting risk assessments and developing plans to eliminate or mitigate identified risks.
- Ability to travel to Federal Government clients throughout the United States in support of program requirements.
- Effective written and spoken English communication skills with all levels of an organization.
How you will stand out from the crowd:
- Seven or more years of project management experience managing large Federal programs.
Your education:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience (required).
- Project management certification or successful completion of a recognized project management curriculum (preferred).
