Functional Description
CFR Global Decision Science Team is an innovation engine driving enterprise wide growth & differentiation for American Express in today’s digital world. Our focus is to enrich data, advance analytics and elevate platforms to deliver scalable solutions that power AXP to effectively target , acquire and engage customers & merchants across channels globally.
The role’s primary focus will be to drive governance & enforcement of policies/Standards across models within the oversight of the Model Risk Committee. This role will deliver on several key initiatives which are critical for the effective functioning of the Model Risk Committee.

Responsibilities
Manager / Sr. Manager role for the Credit and Fraud Model Risk Committee. Responsibilities include:
- Drive enforcement of the Modeling Policies/Standards within the Committee purview. Have good command on governance expectations to ensure Committee is operating in Compliance with governance requirements (e.g. Committee Charter)
- Deliver on the firm’s expectations of a Committee Secretary and prescribed responsibilities.
- Manage the monthly Model Risk Committee meeting, including material review and timely distribution, meeting minutes drafting, tracking follow-ups to completion. ensure Meeting Materials and supporting documents are uploaded timely into company repositories; Ensure key items are reported to respective Committees.
· Report outstanding model issues, and other items of concern to the Committee Chair and other relevant groups as appropriate
· Support Internal Audits and Regulatory Exams
· Serve as a key resource for model owners and key stakeholder groups
· May have people leader responsibilities
Required Qualifications
· Proficient in Excel, PPT and Word
· Must be able to prioritize workload
· Detail oriented, with a proven track record of meeting deadlines and deliverables
· Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, using initiative to manage multiple stakeholders simultaneously
· Proven project management skills, exceptional written and oral communication and presentation skills
· Ability to establish strong collaborative relationship with both internal and external partners
· Proven team player; collaborative and passionate in your approach but able to work autonomously
Eligibility
- Graduate or Post Graduate / MBA with overall work experience of 6+ years with significant time spent in the areas of program management
