Beam Impact is seeking a Product Designer to lead the design discipline, establish scalable processes, and create a robust design system that will serve as the foundation for our product. This role will directly influence our product’s success and the impact we have on non-profits and conscious brands.
Responsibilities will include:
- Lead end-to-end product design for key initiatives, from discovery and user research to wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, prototyping, and hand-off to engineers
- Create, document, and maintain a comprehensive design system to ensure consistency, speed up development, and scale with the product and team
- Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights, validate concepts, and ensure the product solves real-world user problems
- Collaborate with Product, CTO, CEO, and Engineering leads to define the product roadmap, contribute to strategy, and advocate for user experience
- Establish design best practices, tools, and workflows within the product team, setting standards for quality and efficiency
- Own and maintain the Beam Impact website, designing new pages to support marketing campaigns, product launches, and brand initiatives
- Provide guidance and creative direction to a junior integrations designer, ensuring quality and consistency of embedded components and integration touchpoints
- Maintain and evolve the Beam Impact brand identity across all product and marketing touchpoints
- Create marketing assets including sales decks, email templates, case studies, social media content, and other materials to drive growth
You’re a great fit if you:
- Have 5+ years of experience in product design with a focus on UI/UX for web and mobile applications
- Have a proven track record designing for SaaS products, ideally in fast-paced or high-growth environments
- Can showcase a portfolio of elegant, data-driven solutions to complex design challenges
- Are proficient with modern design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD) and experienced across responsive web and mobile
- Understand technical constraints and opportunities, enabling close collaboration with engineers
- Have hands-on experience building and maintaining design systems and pattern libraries
- Possess a strong analytical mindset and use data to inform design decisions
- Have experience leading end-to-end design for products or major feature initiatives
- Are an expert in UI/UX best practices, accessibility standards, and user-centered design principles
- Have created and maintained a design system from the ground up, with deep understanding of component-based design, tokens, and documentation
- Can manage and mentor junior design talent, providing constructive feedback and elevating team output
- Communicate and present design decisions clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
Bonus points if you:
- Have experience in e-commerce or Martech sectors
- Have worked in a Series A/B/C startup environment
- Have experience within multi-product ecosystems
- Are familiar with ecommerce and AB testing
- Are familiar with the Shopify ecosystem
- Have experience with accessibility design
- Have built decks for executive stakeholders
- Have maintained a marketing website, preferably built on Framer or similar tools like Webflow
Total Compensation
The projected annual compensation range is $181,500–$220,000 USD, including:
- Base salary of $165,000–$200,000 USD
- Up to 10% annual bonus based on individual performance
- Stock options
- 50% match on 401k contributions up to 6% of base salary
- $100 monthly wellness stipend
- $750 annual professional development budget
