We are responsible for delivering value by providing safe, efficient, and effective procurement and real estate services to Thomson Reuters businesses and functional operations. About the Role
In this opportunity as a Procurement Operations Representative, you will:
Support specific ongoing improvements in procurement operations capability and maturity at Thomson Reuters by contributing to the implementation of best-practice technical capability, methodology, and standards.
Provide required support in the analysis of the spend, contracts, and supply market supporting the larger initiatives taken up by Operations Sourcing
Support the integrated transformation strategy and project management activities for Global Procurement processes and systems.
Build opportunity pipeline in assigned areas of spend that will support Operations Sourcing leadership to drive collaborative discussions with Category Leads to clearly understand business requirements and applicable category strategy/plans.
Knowledge of technical discipline and a good understanding of functional groups within procurement operations.
A developing professional taking on more complex work assignments, still acquiring higher-level knowledge and skills.
Solves a range of straightforward problems; analyses possible solutions using standard
procedures.Receives a moderate level of guidance and direction.
Interprets customer needs and assesses requirements.
About You
You’re a fit for the role if your background includes:
Bachelor's degree.
Fluent English is a must.
Previous 1+ years procurement or vendor management experience
Experience with procurement systems such as Ariba , SAP, and Service Now is a PLUS
Experience in or aptitude for managing projects or a portfolio of initiatives with an understanding of general alternatives available in the marketplace environment.
Ability to negotiate with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Excellent relationship management skills.
Professional written and verbal communication skills.
Strong skills in use of Microsoft Office.
Ability to collaborate with team members.
A self-started with the ability to drive for results with some direction and desire to learn new skills.
Familiarity with budgets and billing processes.
Ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
