DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a talented Project Manager - Environmental to join our team specializing in Environment onsite in Lakewood, NY.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Planning, ownership, and execution of environmental projects which contribute to achieving the Cummins 2030 environmental goals and the PLANET 2050 targets. This includes improvements to water, waste, and energy performance, as well as VOC emissions.
- Develop and maintain project management documentation, including plans, costs and forecasts, risk registers, project schedules, stakeholder registers, project organization charts etc. to successfully deliver project objectives.
- Ownership of the site procedures that demonstrate compliance with all relevant legislation and ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 management systems.
- Ownership of Title V air quality permit, reporting and compliance. Ownership of hazardous waste program. Ownership of wastewater compliance. Ownership of MSGP/SPDES NYSDEC stormwater program.
RESPONSIBILITIES

- Issue and Risk Management : Identify, assess, and prioritize project issues and risks, using recommended tools to minimize negative impacts and maximize positive outcomes.
- Resource Management : Develop and manage resource plans, including expenses and headcount, to ensure effective project execution.
- Scope Management : Manage project deliverables to ensure all required work is completed, avoiding scope creep.
- Valuing Differences : Recognize and leverage the value of diverse perspectives and cultures to enhance project outcomes and team dynamics.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Licenses, Certifications:
- College, university, or equivalent degree required.
Experience:
- Intermediate level of relevant work experience, including team leadership experience, required.
Additional Information/Experience:
- This is an onsite role.
- Degree in a relevant discipline is essential (Facilities, Environmental, Engineering, Manufacturing).
- Experience of project management, ideally 5+ years of experience of working in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience of managing people.
- Knowledge and application of local, state and federal environmental compliance regulations.
- Willing to learn and develop your leadership skills and continued professional development.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with good time management and ability to meet deadlines.
Please note that the salary range provided is a good faither estimate on the applicable range. The final salary offer will be determined after considering relevant factors, including a candidate’s qualifications and experience where appropriate.
