Key Responsibilities:
Developing and maintaining a robust Test Automation Framework
Creating Automated tests for all testing environments
Liaising with internal and development teams on the automation process during preparation
Maintain quality issues and modify automation test scripts.
Collaborate with development teams on automation process during preparation.
Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs.
Liaise with internal teams (e.g., Developers, Product Owners, and Business Analysis) to identify system requirements as part of in-house processes whist Maintaining quality issues and modifying automation test scripts.
Conducting analysis checks on product specifications
Responding to requests from internal teams and management
Monitor and analyse test results to identify and report defects and issues.
Troubleshoot and debug automation test scripts.
Document test procedures to ensure repeatability and compliance with standards.
Collaborate with QA and development teams to identify areas where automation can improve testing efficiency.
Design and implement automated test scripts for web, mobile, and desktop applications.
Execute and maintain automated test scripts in continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
Implement and maintain test data and test environment setups for automated testing.
Stay up to date with industry best practices, tools, and trends in test automation.
Provide training and mentorship to QA team members in test automation best practices.
Participate in code reviews to ensure quality and maintainability of automation code.
Work with cross-functional teams to define automation testing strategies for new features and products.
Develop and maintain automated performance and load testing scripts.
Contribute to the development and execution of automated security testing scripts.
Requirements:
Minimum 3 years’ experience working as a QA Automation Engineer.
Advanced programming skills including automation systems.
Advanced in C#, Java, Selenium, SpecFlow considered advantageous.
Deeper understanding of object-oriented programming
Experience working with in an agile environment with deep understanding of agile rituals.
Proficiency in API testing
Experience with test data management and data-driven testing approaches.
Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) principles and tools.
Familiarity with behaviour-driven development (BDD) tools and frameworks beyond SpecFlow, such as Cucumber, Gherkin considered advantageous.
Scripting skills for tasks like test data generation or test environment setup.
Proficiency in performance testing tools like JMeter or Gatling.
Familiarity with test automation for mobile devices and platforms (iOS, Android). Exposure to mobile app automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Appium).
Understanding of the principles of shift-left testing and test-driven development (TDD).
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Master's degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field is an asset.
Relevant certifications in test automation, such as ISTQB Advanced Test Automation Engineer or similar.
Experience with test management tools like TestRail.
Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Docker).
Experience with cloud-based testing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
