We're seeking a hands-on Business Analyst to join our Capital Planning Transformation team. This role partners closely with Capital Planning subject matter experts, Finance and Risk stakeholders, and Technology to deliver measurable process and tooling improvements across internal and regulatory initiatives (including CCAR).
In the Finance division, we act as a partner to business units around the globe by providing management, review, analysis and advisory services of the Firm's financial and capital resources. This is a associate level position within our Corporate Treasury & Capital Planning Job Family which is responsible for planning, managing, forecasting and optimizing capital, liquidity and funding resources; governance oversight of Treasury and Capital Planning; setting frameworks, policies and guidelines for appropriate management of these resources; managing regulatory deliverables and exams; managing CCAR/Capital Stress Testing process.

What you'll do in the role:
- Serve as business analyst for Capital Planning transformation initiatives, translating capital planning and regulatory requirements (e.g., CCAR) into clear user stories, process maps, and functional requirements
- Develop and influence deliverables directly: create prototypes, analytics, dashboards, and automations that accelerate decision-making and reduce manual work
- Design and develop dashboards and reporting using advanced digital tooling (e.g., Power BI, Alteryx, and emerging AI-enabled tools) and establish data definitions/lineage in partnership with data owners
- Support production processes for systems and workflows used in Capital Planning / CCAR, including triage of issues, root-cause analysis, and coordination of fixes with Technology and business owners
- Partner with Capital Planning SMEs, Technology, and key stakeholders to identify pain points, define target-state workflows, and deliver solutions that improve controls, transparency, and efficiency
- Serve as the squad’s Scrum Master: facilitate Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, refinement, planning, retrospectives), remove blockers, and help the team continuously improve delivery practices and velocity
- Prepare documentation, training materials, and test artifacts (test scripts, scenarios, acceptance criteria) to enable consistent adoption across stakeholder groups
- Plan and facilitate user acceptance testing and stakeholder sign-offs; coordinate release readiness and communications
- Adhere to the Firm's risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls; proactively identify ways to reduce risk in work
- Act as a culture carrier; embody and set an example of the Firm's values and hold yourself and others accountable to Firm standards
What you'll bring to the role:
- Experience working in financial services with exposure to regulatory reporting and/or CCAR (or closely related stress testing processes)
- Advanced digital/tooling skills beyond basic Excel/PowerPoint, such as: Power BI (data modeling and dashboard design), Alteryx (workflows/automation), and/or AI-enabled tools to accelerate analysis and documentation
- Demonstrated hands-on transformation experience: you have directly helped design, build, or implement process and tooling changes (beyond coordination/PMO activities)
- Self-driven, self-motivated, and able to operate independently while collaborating effectively in a squad/team environment
- Strong communication skills both oral and written are essential, as the successful candidate will be dealing with clients and our partners across the various divisions of the Firm
- Knowledge of capital or financial forecasting and/or regulatory reporting processes is preferred
- At least 3 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $100,000 and $120,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
