Role overview
The Head of Finance (Shared Services) will lead the delivery of core accounting and transactional finance processes across a multi-country environment.
This is a senior leadership role focused on driving operational performance, service delivery, and process efficiency within a complex, multi-layered organization. The position requires strong leadership capability, combined with the ability to operate effectively within established structures while driving improvement.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end finance operations across a centralized services model, including core transactional and reporting processes
- Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial processing across multiple entities
- Own and drive performance against key operational metrics and service delivery standards
- Lead a large, multi-level team through a layered leadership structure
- Drive accountability, performance, and alignment across functional areas
- Partner with senior stakeholders to support operational and business priorities
- Identify inefficiencies and implement improvements to stabilize and optimize processes
- Drive continuous improvement, standardization, and operational efficiency
- Ensure adherence to internal controls, audit requirements, and regulatory standards
- Foster a performance-driven culture, using data and metrics to guide decision-making
Requirements
- Proven experience leading centralized finance functions (Shared Services / GBS / similar models)
- Experience managing large, multi-layered teams, including leadership of managers
- Strong understanding of core finance operations and transactional processes
- Experience working with performance metrics, service delivery models, and operational KPIs
- Fluent English communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex organizations and drive performance
- Strong leadership presence, with the ability to influence across multiple levels
- Experience driving process improvement and operational efficiency
- Strong stakeholder management skills across regional or global environments
