About the opportunity
We are partnering with a global leader in cloud, software, and digital transformation services, operating across multiple regions with a workforce of over 13,000 employees worldwide.
This is a confidential search for a critical leadership role within a globally recognized organization, reflecting the strategic importance and visibility of this position across the Americas region.
As part of an ongoing evolution of its finance operations, the organization is strengthening leadership within its Shared Services structure across the Americas.
Role overview
The Head of Finance Shared Services will be responsible for leading the delivery of accounting and transactional finance processes across the Americas region.
This is a large-scale leadership role focused on driving operational performance, KPI delivery, and service excellence across a multi-layered organization of approximately 70 employees.
The role is based in Mexico City under a hybrid model (3 days on-site).
Key responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end finance operations across Shared Services, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Record-to-Report, O2C, and Collections
- Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant processing of financial transactions across the region
- Own and drive KPI performance, service delivery standards, and operational metrics
- Lead a large, multi-level organization (~70 employees) through a manager-of-managers structure
- Drive team performance, accountability, and alignment across all functional areas
- Act as a strong leadership presence, influencing both team members and senior stakeholders
- Identify and address operational gaps, inefficiencies, and performance challenges, stabilizing and optimizing processes where needed
- Drive continuous improvement, standardization, and efficiency across finance processes
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and regulatory standards
- Build and maintain a results-driven, KPI-focused culture, using data to guide decision-making and performance management
Requirements
- Proven experience leading Shared Services / SSC / GBS environments
- Strong experience managing large teams (50–70+ employees), including managers
- Solid understanding of finance operations (AP, AR, RTR, O2C)
- Experience working with KPIs, SLAs, and service delivery models
- Strong English communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex organizations and manage multiple layers of leadership
- Strong, proactive leadership style, with the ability to drive performance and hold teams accountable
- Experience driving process improvement, efficiency, and operational transformation
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across regional and global teams
Nice to have
- Experience in multinational environments with mature Shared Services models
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Navision, or similar)
- Background in continuous improvement methodologies or process optimization initiatives
