Morgan Stanley is seeking a dynamic and skilled Regulatory Controllers on various seniority levels to join our Finance Division.

Morgan Stanley is excited to invite talented individuals to join our Finance Division as Regulatory Controller Professionals at various seniority levels. This is an opportunity to contribute to a global leader in financial services, where your skills will help shape the future of finance.

Key Skills and Responsibilities:

  • Regulatory Expertise: Lead the production of deliverables related to Risk Weighted Assets (RWA), Leverage, and Capital calculation within the Basel III/IV framework. Your understanding of regulatory frameworks such as IFRS and Basel III will be crucial in supporting new regulatory requirements and developing related reporting.

  • Data Management and Analysis: Utilize your advanced Excel skills (including V-lookups and nested IFs) and proficiency with reporting tools or SQL to create ad hoc analysis and data requests. Ensure data integrity by reconciling data between the general ledger and regulatory returns.

  • Process Improvement and Innovation: Drive process improvement initiatives, automation projects, and innovation efforts. Act as a subject matter expert for reporting software, participating in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for system upgrades.

  • Collaboration and Communication: Work effectively with global and local departments, including Finance, Risk, and IT teams, to enhance data sourcing and reporting processes. Your excellent communication skills will be essential in liaising with stakeholders and managing regulatory change.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, or a Business-related discipline is essential. A degree-educated professional, preferably a qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA), will thrive in this role.

  • Industry Experience: Bring relevant experience in Risk, Business Analysis, or Accounting, ideally within the financial services industry. Prior experience in regulatory reporting roles and familiarity with Basel regulations will be highly advantageous.

  • Technical Proficiency: Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with advanced Excel skills such as V-lookups and nested IFs. Experience with reporting tools or SQL will enhance your ability to manage and analyze data effectively.

  • Analytical Skills: Exhibit strong attention to detail and the ability to analyze large, complex datasets. Your deep understanding of regulatory frameworks, including IFRS, Basel III, and Capital Requirement Regulation, will be crucial in this role.

  • Collaborative Mindset: Work effectively with colleagues to achieve common goals. Your ability to collaborate and communicate effectively in spoken and written English will be key to your success.
