What you’ll do in the role:

Morgan Stanley Services Group, Inc. is seeking a Director, Software Engineer in New York, New York to Analyze, design, implement, and optimize large-scale data platforms and cloud-based architectures. Develop data models for reporting solutions and building modular, efficient systems for business processes. Migrate the legacy systems to the cloud, enhancing performance, scalability, and modernizing the architecture. Create utilities for testing applications, optimize data storage solutions, and develop frameworks for monitoring and performance tracking. Configure distributed computing platforms, implement

logging and auditing systems, and design failover strategies with a focus on business continuity planning.

What you’ll bring to the role:

-Requires a Master’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related

field of study.

-Requires three (3) years of experience in the position offered or three (3) years as a Data Analyst,

Computer Programmer, Software Developer, or related occupation in the technology field.  

-Requires two (2) years of experience with the following skills:

• Spark 2,
• Scala,
• SQL,
• Hadoop,
• Hive,
• Python;
• Power BI,
• Airflow,
• Databricks,
• Snowflake,
• Spring-4,
• Junit-4,
• Tableau,
• Jenkins,
• Git,
• MS Visio,
• Financial Data Modeling.

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $150,000 and $165,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
