Client Project Manager — ONESOURCE Pagero TMS

Watch this video to learn more about Thomson Reuters

As a Client Project Manager within the Thomson Reuters ONESOURCE Pagero TMS team, you will lead the successful implementation of transportation management solutions for large, multi-national freight buyers and logistics operators. You will be responsible for driving both internal and external project teams from project initiation through to go-live and beyond, ensuring delivery within scope, timeline, and budget. Managing multiple concurrent implementations of varying complexity — from single-market freight buyer onboardings to multi-regional carrier network integrations — you will collaborate with global stakeholders across supply chain, procurement, IT, and finance functions.

The ideal candidate is proactive, highly organised, and results-driven, with a strong commitment to client satisfaction and a solid understanding of both project management methodologies and the realities of freight operations. You demonstrate effective leadership, thrive in a collaborative environment, and excel at anticipating and mitigating project risks. Your ability to balance competing priorities, navigate complex logistics environments, and build lasting client relationships will be critical to your success in this role.

About the Role

In this opportunity, you will:

  • Lead cross-functional project teams — including sales, implementation consultants, product, and engineering — to deliver TMS implementations on time and within budget
  • Collaborate with implementation partners and carrier onboarding teams to ensure alignment on delivery methodology, scope, roles and responsibilities, and quality standards
  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior stakeholders, translating freight operational requirements into structured implementation plans
  • Plan and manage project timelines, milestones, and deliverables across the full implementation lifecycle: discovery, configuration, integration, testing, go-live, and post-launch stabilisation
  • Monitor partner capacity and readiness by tracking utilisation, certification progress, and skill alignment across assigned projects
  • Manage project budgets and financial objectives, ensuring projects are delivered within approved parameters
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks throughout the lifecycle — including integration delays, carrier connectivity issues, data mapping challenges, and scope creep
  • Facilitate problem-solving and decision-making to resolve project issues, escalating where appropriate while maintaining client confidence
  • Ensure all project documentation — including project charters, integration specifications, and go-live checklists — is complete, current, and appropriately stored
  • Adhere to industry best practices and Thomson Reuters delivery standards throughout project execution
  • Analyse delivery trends across your project portfolio and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurring issues
  • Support partner enablement and continuous improvement by establishing feedback loops, sharing best practices, and contributing to updates in delivery playbooks and onboarding processes

About You

You're a strong fit for this role if your background includes:

  • A background in logistics, freight management, supply chain operations, or transportation planning — you understand how freight moves, not just how software works
  • Experience using or supporting a Transportation Management System (TMS) and/or transport administration (TA) platform in a professional context
  • Familiarity with freight buying processes, carrier networks, shipping workflows, rate management concepts, and logistics compliance requirements
  • Minimum 4 years of experience leading client-facing projects, preferably in a global or multinational environment
  • Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with competing priorities, stakeholders, and timelines
  • Experience working with global clients and coordinating delivery across multiple time zones
  • Excellent communication skills in both Swedish and English (written and spoken)
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred

Preferred:

  • Hands-on experience with EDI, API-based carrier integrations, or ERP/TMS connectivity (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics)
  • Familiarity with freight audit and payment processes, or carrier invoicing workflows
  • Knowledge of supply chain compliance requirements across EU or APAC markets
  • Experience working within or alongside 3PL, freight broker, or carrier operations environments
  • Formal project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) is a plus, but not essential

What Makes This Role Unique

This isn't a traditional logistics operations role, and it's not a purely technical project management position either — it sits right at the intersection of both. You'll apply your transportation industry knowledge every day, while expanding your expertise in enterprise SaaS delivery and global client management. You'll work with a diverse portfolio of freight buyers, carriers, and logistics operators, helping them transform how they manage transportation through technology. If you're looking for a role where domain expertise is genuinely valued — not just a nice-to-have — this is it.
