  • Prevent failures before they happen: Execute preventative maintenance to standard, extending asset life, improving reliability, and lowering total cost of ownership for customers.
  • Accelerate team capability: Coach and provide work direction to less experienced technicians/apprentices, lifting overall team skill, speed, and safety performance.
  • Protect compliance and quality: Complete all required documentation (service reports, timesheets, warranty claims, quality records) accurately and on time, ensuring audit readiness and data integrity.
  • Grow revenue responsibly: Identify additional service and parts opportunities during site visits, connecting customer needs with solutions that add value and drive profitable growth.
  • Champion HSE excellence: Maintain a clean, well-operated service vehicle and tools; rigorously follow Health, Safety & Environmental policies; and promptly report incidents to uphold a zero-harm culture.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Advanced diagnostic capability: Confidently translate customer complaints into a structured troubleshooting plan, use mechanical/electronic tools and diagnostic software to isolate faults, validate repairs, and accurately document all findings.
  • Proficiency with electronic service tools: Know which hardware and software tools apply to each service event, interpret electronic data correctly, and use these insights to determine the right repair path quickly and accurately.
  • Deep understanding of engine system interactions: Skillfully analyze how electrical, mechanical, and aftertreatment systems interact, apply service publications and precise measurements, and use this knowledge to diagnose and repair issues efficiently.
  • High‑quality repair, maintenance, and documentation habits: Perform repairs to standard; manage disassembly/assembly cleanly; follow reuse and progressive damage guidelines; escalate complex issues appropriately; and record all service details thoroughly for accurate history and payment.
