    Role Summary

The Account Representative, Territory (TAR) is an inside sales role responsible for managing assigned territories and driving growth across a defined portfolio of accounts in the Anglo & Franco African market. The role is focused on delivering scalable territory coverage, identifying and converting expansion opportunities, supporting renewals and demand generation activity, maintaining account health, and ensuring disciplined pipeline and forecast management.

The TAR will engage customers through a mix of digital, virtual, and selective direct interactions, while working closely with Autodesk channel partners and internal stakeholders to deliver a consistent, high-value customer experience. This role requires a commercially driven, bilingual sales professional who can operate effectively across English- and French-speaking markets and build strong relationships across a geographically diverse territory.

    Key Responsibilities

    Territory & Account Coverage

    • Provide scalable, low‑touch coverage across assigned territories (English- and French-speaking African markets) using automated engagement channels and targeted direct outreach, operating independently with moderate guidance.
    • Manage a high volume of accounts while maintaining visibility into account health, activity, and engagement levels.

    Revenue Growth & Expansion

    • Identify, develop, and close expansion opportunities through upsell, cross-sell, add-on, and new seat growth, exercising sound judgment within defined sales guidelines.
    • Articulate customer value and recommend tailored engagement approaches to deepen adoption and expand usage.
    • Build and maintain strong customer relationships with business decision-makers, technical stakeholders, and partner contacts.

    Demand Generation & Forecasting

    • Activate and support demand generation initiatives through pooled marketing programs and transactional sales motions with minimal day‑to‑day direction.
    • Drive demand generation follow-up and convert marketing-led activity into qualified opportunities and pipeline.
    • Maintain strong account hygiene by monitoring account health, customer activity, opportunity progression, and risk signals.
    • Develop and maintain accurate pipeline visibility and forecast discipline through consistent CRM usage and structured sales planning.

    Collaboration & Orchestration

    • Collaborate closely with Autodesk channel partners, technical sales, customer success, and other internal teams to advance opportunities and improve customer outcomes.
    • Coordinate partner-led and co-sell motions where appropriate to ensure effective market coverage and continuity.
    • Support partner‑led sales and enablement efforts by providing visibility, context, and supplemental data to Partner Management teams.
    • Facilitate cross‑regional collaboration for larger or multinational accounts and share best practices across teams and geographies.

    Skills & Competencies

    • Organizational Discipline: Ability to manage time effectively, follow structured sales processes, and handle large account volumes with limited supervision.
    • Technical Acumen: Industry knowledge sufficient to communicate customer value clearly, aligning Autodesk solutions to business needs and desired outcomes.
    • Scalable Communication: Consistent use of templated, repeatable engagement methods while applying best practices in practical situations.
    • Data‑Driven Judgment: Use data and territory insight to determine strategy, prioritize effort, improve conversion, and maximize return across a broad account base.

    Required Qualifications

    • 5+ years of experience in inside sales, territory sales, account management, business development, or a related customer-facing commercial role.
    • Proven success carrying quota and managing a territory, book of business, or assigned account portfolio.
    • Demonstrated ability to identify growth opportunities and drive revenue through upsell, cross-sell, and account expansion.
    • Strong pipeline management, forecasting, and CRM discipline.
    • Ability to manage multiple countries and a high volume of accounts with structure, prioritization, and attention to detail.
    • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including channel partners, technical sales, customer success, and marketing.
    • Strong commercial judgment and a data-driven approach to prioritizing outreach and managing opportunity flow.
    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Languages: French and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills in both languages
    • Experience in SaaS, technology, or subscription‑based business models.
    • Experience selling into African markets, especially across both Anglophone and Francophone territories.
    • Knowledge of partner-led or indirect sales models.
    • Experience in CAD, BIM, AEC, manufacturing technology, design software, or related digital transformation solutions.
    • Familiarity with multi-country sales coverage in emerging or developing markets.
    • Ability to engage both transactional and consultative sales motions effectively.

    Candidate Profile

The successful candidate is a self-starter who combines territory discipline with strong commercial instinct. They are structured, resilient, culturally adaptable, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced sales environment with a broad regional scope. They bring a customer-first mindset, strong follow-through, and the ability to translate business needs into commercial opportunity across a diverse and strategically important territory.
