The Talent Acquisition Enablement and Experience team sits at the heart of our global people ecosystem. We partner with Talent, Product, Engineering, and regional leaders to design and scale the systems, programs, and operational infrastructure that power our talent engine. As we expand in India, our team plays a critical role in ensuring that operations, technology, and compliance frameworks scale seamlessly and responsibly across regions to create high-quality experiences for candidates and employees alike.

Zillow Group is a strategic, mission-driven organization focused on delivering exceptional experiences and measurable outcomes. Our work spans cross-functional partnership, scalable programs and operational excellence in support of Zillow’s mission. We bring deep experience working across diverse teams in a dynamic, high-growth environment, balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution to drive meaningful business impact. We are seeking an experienced professional to support our workforce expansion in India.

About the role

As Senior Program Manager of Talent in India, you will help operationalize our new Bangalore office. In this individual contributor role, you’ll act as a strategic bridge between U.S.based leadership and India teams, ensuring the full employee lifecycle—from recruitment to onboarding and experience—is localized and compliant. You’ll bring local expertise, partner with outside counsel, and collaborate with Global Product Owners to support a rapidly growing international office. This role is critical to scaling our Bangalore presence in alignment with global standards while delivering a seamless, high-quality employee experience.

You Will Get to

  • Operationalize Talent Infrastructure: Build the foundational playbooks for our India office, encompassing the full employment life cycle including recruitment, onboarding, and local employee experience.

  • Localize Global Standards: Adapt global policies, SOPs, and workflows for the India market, ensuring compliance with local labor regulations and data privacy requirements.

  • Advise on Global Scaling: Partner with Product Owners and SMEs to ensure global recruiting tools (Workday, Gem, Paradox, AI solutions) are optimized for India-specific nuances without creating fragmented regional processes.

  • Drive Experience & Adoption: Lead change management, training, and adoption programs for local teams to ensure technology and processes deliver measurable impact.

  • Strengthen Cross-Regional Partnerships: Serve as the operational bridge between India and U.S. leadership, surfacing risks and running feedback loops to influence global roadmaps.

  • Manage Local Talent Partners: Partner with outside counsel and external talent vendors to lead business reviews and ensure actionable insights are integrated into our local strategy.

This role has been categorized as an Office position. “Office” employees regularly work at the Zillow India office for approximately 80 to 100 percent of their time each month. Employees must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the office. Zillow has not defined a reasonable distance, and expects employees will use judgment in determining this for themselves and understand the implications re: time commitment and cost of daily commute. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role are eligible for incentive compensation subject to applicable laws and relevant Zillow policies. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location.

Who you are

  • Experience: 5+ years in talent or recruiting program management, HRIS, or talent operations in a global environment.

  • India Market Expert: A strong understanding of India hiring practices, compliance considerations, and cultural dynamics.

  • Lifecycle Advisor: Proven ability to manage complex programs end-to-end, identifying local needs and designing scalable solutions that integrate with global systems.

  • Collaborative Influencer: Excellent cross-cultural communicator who can influence both technical product teams and business stakeholders.

  • Analytical Mindset: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to use data to guide decisions and measure the health of local operations.

  • Adaptable: Comfortable operating in a start-up environment with a distributed global team.

  • Fluency in English to effectively support partners and stakeholders

  • Here at Zillow - we value the experience and perspective of candidates with non-traditional backgrounds. We encourage you to apply if you have transferable skills or related experiences
