Minimum qualifications:- Graduate of the highest level of secondary school
- Academic grades in the average of 4.5 or higher
- Completed Multicheck (ICT)
- Ability to communicate in English and German fluently, to interact with stakeholders and schools.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience and/or interest in coding
- Demonstrated logical and abstract thinking
- Enthusiasm and passion for new technologies, demonstrated through personal projects and interest in learning new skills
- Intention to pursue the Berufsmaturitätsschule (BM1) during the apprenticeship
- Have authorization to work in Switzerland
A professional team of vocational trainers (Berufsbildner:innen) will guide and support you during your 4-year apprenticeship with Google. After a 1-year foundation course (Basislehrjahr) you will join your Google team in Zurich and will be fully engaged in existing and new projects that will challenge you and lay the foundation for a successful future as an Application Developer.
As a Computer Scientist apprentice focused on Application Development, you'll dive into software design and development, working alongside various front-end and back-end teams across Google's product suite. This immersive experience will expose you to the diverse roles and career paths within this dynamic field.
- Proactively analyze a range of problems, identify potential solutions, and implement them effectively.
- Foster strong collaboration within your team, clearly communicating ideas and technical concepts to both technical and non-technical colleagues
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code that aligns with project requirements, and conduct solid testing to ensure functionality and reliability
