In your internship at a globally leading medical technology company, you’ll be right in the middle of the action: Our team is specialized in the development of clinical navigation systems for minimally invasive ENT surgery. Clinical navigation systems (Stryker Scopis System) are used to guide surgeons by displaying the position of medical instruments on three-dimensional CT or MRI data of the patient, and ultimately to precisely reach anatomical targets. The team uses the latest technologies such as computer vision, augmented reality and AI for computer-assisted surgery.

Our offer to you

  • We are offering a Master Thesis in area of Interactive Guidance for Navigated ENT Surgery .

  • You will have the opportunity to develop prototypes for our Surgical Navigation System and support our team with your proof-of-concept application.

  • You will implement your solution using C++ or Python and Matlab and evaluate it in an ecosystem consisting of state-of-the-art navigation and imaging systems.

  • You will be an active member of our international and interdisciplinary research and development team.

That makes you stand out

  • You are studying for a master’s degree in computer science, medical engineering, mathematics, physics or a comparable subject.

  • You have experience with object-oriented programming languages (C/C++), script languages (e.g. Python, Matlab) and preferably libraries (OpenCV, Qt, DCMTK).

  • You have a good grasp of mathematics.

  • You want to tackle challenging problems in medical engineering.

  • You have a good command of English and ideally a good command of German.

  • You work independently, are highly motivated and committed, and are prepared to take on responsibility quickly.

Please note: The project deals with current and sensitive development topics, so a confidentiality agreement (Sperrvermerk) will be required.

Duration of your internship: 6 months (full-time)

Type of internship: We offer voluntary internships alongside your studies, compulsory internships/practical semesters, and a combination of both

When you start with us: September or October 2026

Where you will work: Berlin

What you can expect: Fair pay, holiday entitlement, exciting training and personal mentoring, and flexible working hours.

Diversity is important to us. We welcome applications from people regardless of their ethnic, national or social origin, gender, disability, age or sexual identity.

We’re excited to receive your application! Please include all relevant documents (cover letter, CV, and transcript of records) and upload them directly under the “CV” section of the application form.

If your application is successful, we will first conduct a short telephone interview with our University Talent Acquisition Team. If everything fits, this will be followed by a one-hour video interview with the department. We will then get back to you with final feedback.
