About the Team:
We are looking for an experienced, native iOS Engineer to help Medidata create amazing, cloud-based, mobile applications for our products. The software you will build will be used to help our clients create life changing drugs and medical devices. Specifically, you will work with our Patient-facing product development team which is building Medidata's next-generation web and mobile products to improve the way clinical trials are conducted.
Responsibilities:
We want engineers:
- Who have built multiple solutions in iOS
- Who have experience designing a responsive and intuitive user experience accessible to anyone
- Who are excited about streaming large amounts of data safely, securely, and reliably through a mobile application as a part of larger distributed systems
- Who are passionate advocates for the quality of the products they build. Code quality, yes, but also the design, usability, performance, and reliability all of it
- Who work with product, architecture, and engineering team members to develop applications that are scalable, reliable and available
- Who improve and consult on the use of new technology to evolve Medidata's Platform
Qualifications:
- 5+ years building complex applications, with a focus on iOS
- Knowledge of Swift, comfortable with Objective C, Objective C++
- Understand and debug complex code bases
- Experience writing unit and integration tests
- Knowledge of UI/UX best practices and design standards for iOS
- Work with the product and design teams to customize the experience for the iOS platforms
- B.S. or M.S. Computer Science or related field
- Bonus: Experience in life sciences industry or medical/clinical operations
As with all roles, Medidata sets ranges based on a number of factors including function, level, candidate expertise and experience, and geographic location.
The salary range for positions that will be physically based in the NYC Metro Area is $114,750 to $153,000.
Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Medidata provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a commission on the terms of applicable plan documents, and many of Medidata's non-sales positions are eligible for annual bonuses.
