Job Description

The Sales Activation team within Visa’s Value-Added Services (VAS) unit creates, delivers, and champions initiatives that directly and significantly impact sales performance and scorecard goals. The function combines the competencies of sales strategy, program delivery, performance management, program management, enablement, and propensity relevance to drive business results. The Manager of Sales Activation is responsible for the development and delivery of deployable, repeatable, and scalable materials to support strategic sales plays to accelerate the growth of global sales bookings and revenue. Additionally, they are responsible for designing and developing compelling and relevant content aligned to our strategic sales programs and prioritized product roadmap.

 

The Manager reports to the Director of Sales Activation and will work to develop a deep understanding of the disparate populations of sellers and client audiences, and will partner with internal stakeholders across product, marketing, and enablement to ensure they have access to the most compelling content to help them sell more efficiently and effectively. They will work in close collaboration with partners across various functions including, Regional Go to Market, Sales, Marketing, Enablement, Operations, Business Intelligence and Product, to drive sales performance aligned with Global and Regional priorities. The individual will play a critical role in helping to create strong connective tissue between regional and global teams through managing the development and delivery of sales programs and scalable best practices, tools and resources.

They demonstrate keen attention to detail and are highly skilled in presentation building, design and content development.

Essential Duties:

  • Design world-class sales collateral and templates that are compelling, attractive, and easy to use
  • Manage the development and ongoing maintenance of key sales collateral across a highly matrixed global sales team
  • Act as a Quality Reviewer for teammates to ensure team outputs meet high bar in accordance with best practices
  • Coordinate toolkit development and refresh schedule and manage workflow across team members
  • Champion seller feedback and proactively work to develop new ways to constantly evolve how and what we deliver to sellers
  • Proactively conduct gap analyses to understand what materials are missing to enable sellers across VAS at scale and partner to produce them
  • Produce insights and analyses to improve sales content performance, drive understanding of results and provide strategic guidance how to continuously generate best-practice sales materials
  • Partner and collaborate with peers and executive stakeholders within the Sales Readiness team, as well as in other functional areas (e.g., Sales, Marketing, Product, Analytics, Business Intelligence) and across global and regional GTM teams to deliver impactful sales programs
  • Manage sales play materials and ensure sales programs and solution campaigns are efficiently packaged, communicated, and delivered to global sales teams and deployed in market

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.


Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
  • Proven experience (2+ years) creating content, preferably for a highly matrixed, world-class sales organization
  • Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Teams, and SharePoint
  • Expert level in sales content development and program management skill set
  • High level of experience developing and designing client-facing materials in PowerPoint
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Strong attention to detail, and ability to adapt to continuously changing priorities and opportunities
  • Payments industry experience a plus
  • Substantial problem-solving ability with strategic focus on impacting business results
  • Demonstrated experience working within matrixed organizations, including managing program deliverables across multiple stakeholder groups
  • Substantial problem-solving ability with strategic focus on impacting business results
  • Proficiency using content management systems and analytic platforms, with Highspot (Compass) experience preferred
  • Passion for using GenAI tools and willingness to incorporate into workflow best practices
  • Curiosity & willingness to learn and develop as a professional – high levels of integrity and business ethics

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 116,300.00 to 168,600.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
