    Position Overview

    Autodesk, the leader in 3D design, engineering and entertainment software, is building our latest generation of cloud product offerings on Autodesk Platform Services.   

      

    At the heart of innovation is the Developer Experience team, working tirelessly to create a seamless experience for developers. Their mission? To empower developers to bring their wildest ideas to life with the power of our platform. And at the center of it all is the Developer Portal, a hub of resources and information that makes building on top of our platform a breeze. We are seeking a hands-on, experienced engineering manager to join our Developer Experience Group.

    As an ideal candidate, you have managed development teams developing modern web applications and have demonstrated hands-on experience with DevOps and Observability tools. You are comfortable in an agile environment and know how to build and guide a highly effective and high-performing team.  You will work with our developers, product managers and designers to deliver products that will help our customers imagine bigger, collaborate smarter, move faster, and create the new possible.   Most of all, you can inspire a team to do great things.  

        

    Responsibilities    

    • Accountable for business outcomes for the teams as well as engineering excellence  

    • Partner with stakeholders to align product vision, technical strategy, and delivery

    • Inspire, motivate, and coach team members to achieve maximum productivity, optimal creativity, and efficiency  

    • Lead and mentor developers to develop their careers and achieve individual success  

    • Continually improve the availability, performance, scalability, and security of our products   

    • Coordinate with other teams, on engineering best practices and dependencies and business outcomes  

    • Translate customer, business, and technical requirements into deliverables aligned with stakeholder needs  

    • Act as the voice of the team and champion their accomplishments with upper management and adjacent teams

      

      Minimum Qualifications

    • 5 years of experience in the industry involved in designing and developing SaaS and web applications  

    • 5 years of experience in leading, mentoring, and managing development teams, or other similar leadership roles with at least 2 years of people management experience  

    • Expertise in building reliable, resilient systems

    • Experience and well-versed in leading in an Agile development environment

    • Knowledge and experience with web technology stack, cloud computing, and cloud database technologies  

     

       Preferred Qualifications   

    • Working knowledge of the following technologies: ReactJS, Python, Django, and Docker  

    • Strong knowledge of cloud service platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS)  

    • Experience with platform development and developer ecosystems

    Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location.
