The Optum Bank Director of Business Systems Analysis is a strategic role designed to drive the successful launch and ongoing optimization of the Bank's core and lending platforms. This role is central to advancing the discipline of Business Systems and Business Architecture, which is fundamental to shaping the organization's vision and operational effectiveness. The Director is responsible for architecting and aligning organizational structure, business processes, information flows, and technology infrastructure to create seamless integration and enable scalable growth. By providing strategic oversight and expert guidance, the Director ensures that the Bank's systems and processes are cohesive, resilient, and responsive to evolving business needs. This role will continue to evolve over time and this position will have the opportunity lead that direction.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Business Systems Management: Oversee and manage systems and processes that require complex technical configuration and implementation
• Business Architecture Development: Define and derive detailed capabilities, develop solution sets, and design workflow capabilities. These efforts are necessary to outline and select the appropriate technology sets that will enhance delivery of both current and future solutions
• Collaboration: Work closely with the solution architecture team to ensure that the business systems and architectural strategies support the overall goals of the organization
• Strategic Collaboration: Partner with solution architecture, IT, compliance, and business teams to ensure business systems and architectural strategies are fully integrated with organizational goals. Facilitate cross-functional communication to drive consensus and support successful project delivery
• Continuous Improvement: Evaluate emerging trends and best practices in business systems analysis and architecture. Proactively identify opportunities for process enhancement, automation, and innovation to improve service delivery and operational efficiency
• Leadership & Mentorship: Build and lead a high-performing team of business systems analysts and architects. Foster a culture of collaboration, professional growth, and accountability to achieve exceptional results

Required Qualifications:

• 7+ years of experience in business systems analysis, or business architecture, within banking or financial services
• Proven track record of managing complex system implementations and driving organizational transformation
• Experience with core banking platforms, regulatory compliance, and some technology 
• Experience with system activities, product changes, configuration, and user acceptance testing for the core platform

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $132,200 to $226,600 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
