The Finance Division is seeking a Financial Accounting & Analysis professional to be a member of the Single Family Performing Loans, Securitization and Amortization group. This team is responsible for the accounting, financial reporting and analysis of the performing loan and securitization activities and related amortization of basis adjustments. The Financial Accounting & Analysis Professional will be responsible for activities that support the monthly and quarterly accounting close and reporting cycles, the analysis of the related activities, and the support for system enhancement projects.
Our Impact:The Single-Family Finance team is responsible for accounting, business decision support for respective business segments, financial results analysis, forecasting, profitability and performance analysis, as well as, planning, budgeting and expense management.
Our team is responsible for monthly accounting close activities, financial reporting and analysis in the to single family performing loans area
Ensuring the reliability of financial information disclosed in the 10-Q/10-K and regulatory reporting
Seeking creative solutions to strengthen internal controls over financial reporting
Prepare monthly journal entries in accordance to GAAP and associated monthly accounting reconciliations
Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reporting disclosures for 10-Q/10-K and regulatory reporting
Analyze P&L and single-family loan volumes for reasonableness based on market/business drivers
Validate accuracy of automated accounting transactions, identify issues, and collaborate with stakeholders to determine root cause
Support the SF segments for ad-hoc research requests to support analytics and reporting
Support system’s changes, process improvements and implementation of new business and accounting transactions
Assist with support of special ad-hoc projects
Minimum of 2 years of related experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent experience
Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles
Strong organizational and planning abilities
Ability to change the thinking of, or gain acceptance from, others in sensitive situations, without damage to relationship
Ability to effectively interact with other business partners, such as CM business segment, SF servicing operations, and system project management teams
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to produce results and solve complex problems and work on a team in a challenging environment
Strong Microsoft Office skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Preferred experience using PeopleSoft Financials/ Hyperion, SQL querying and/or basic SAS querying
Self-starter / independent thinker: demonstrate ambition to take on new assignments with limited guidance and direction from management
Creative and analytical problem-solving ability
Ability to work in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment and manage multiple tasks
Team player and willingness to voice opinions
Ability to collaborate across the team and with the business partners to resolve data/process issues

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $75,000 - $113,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program.
