Meta is seeking a Public Policy Associate Manager for the MENA region. In this role, you will combine a passion for technology's potential to create opportunity and to connect the community in a safe and responsible manner, while utilizing your knowledge of the political and regulatory dynamics in the MENA region. You will be expected to support regional heads in MENA with external and internal workstreams, including interactions with key stakeholders, such as government officials, non-government organizations (NGOs), and industry groups, to help them understand how Meta can best serve its users in the region.

Public Policy Associate Manager, MENA Responsibilities:
- Support issues related to content escalations on Meta platforms, pertaining to the MENA region and to the Arabic language
- In coordination with regional public policy heads, work with external stakeholders to address concerns and issues related to content on Meta platforms
- Respond to questions and consultations from external stakeholders on relevant policy and content related issues
- Represent the MENA Policy team with internal teams regarding Meta products, policies, practices, and guidelines, in coordination with the regional and functional subject matter experts
- Manage regional calendar of events and coordinate MENA wide events, hosted by Meta in the region
- Monitor and understand the fast-changing policy landscape in the vast and diverse region and work with internal cross-functional teams, including Legal and Communications, to provide timely analysis and assessment on relevant policy risks, including linkages between regulations and content issues with wider risks in the region
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5+ years of demonstrated experience in related areas of public policy such as tech advocacy, regulations, tech content moderation
- Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science, Public Policy, International Relations, Media and Communications, Technology, or similar field
- Strong understanding of the geo-political dynamics of the MENA region
- Proven communications skills, including experience working and communicating with senior executives or officials
- Ability to exercise sound judgment, communication and persuasive skills
- Ability to drive and manage multiple projects and campaigns simultaneously, and with speed
- Fluency in written and spoken Arabic and English (French is a plus)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of tech or emerging tech related policies and regulations preferred
